Departure.

For all those who read the first chapter I really appreciate it. I hope the second lives up to your expectation. Even if it's one person that reads this, it means a lot, love you guys and enjoy.

We drove past them as quick as we could and we were at the final gate out of the estate but my mom feared other people will come into the estate and face the same fate.

So my mom asked my uncle to stop the car then she said somethings and then she separated into two. One of her was filled with intense light so bright it was like a star on earth.
The other was just regular like me or my sister and my uncle. She said she would block the gates to this estate forever and one day save the people there and the children.

She was ready but before she blocked the gates she touched my sister, my uncle and my mom’s other side head and erased their memories and planted new one’s. She didn’t erase mine, and I didn’t know why .

She stood in front of the gates and covered the whole estate in vines and disappeared leaving only a passage way to a road that was a branch of the main path.
The memories she kept in where about her husband being a bad man and beating her, till she had a divorce with him.

My mom was still prayerful but not powerful, she couldn’t command things or see much visions again. Things didn’t really go well for us. At least eighty percent of the angelic side of her had gone. When she was complete, she beamed a great light and a great light will always attract great darkness. Demons usually came but mom could easily defeat them.

But now that she wasn’t as powerful, the demons had their way and it was bad, sure we had no illness but people rarely showed us kindness as before and she didn’t have a husband now to support her, so life was hard.

I loved my house but I wanted to be around people my age. My sister was three years older than me and my uncle was at least twenty years older than me so I had no one to talk to. They all treated me like a baby but I had to endure it. “If  only they knew what I knew” I usually said, but I had to keep it a secret from them, not to protect them, but to prevent them from taking me to a doctor, because they would think I am crazy.

After that incident my powers weren’t visible anymore. I think it was because I had mingled too much in the physical realm but I didn’t have dreams that showed me the future anymore, all I had were cartoon dreams.

I thought I had lost my powers but that all changed when my mother met another man, the man she remarried I didn’t like him, he was nice and friendly but I could sense something was wrong with him.

He looked at me with strange eyes and always kept his distance, I would ask him for anything and he would give me without complaining. I wanted to believe that he was just being a good man but something didn’t let me. I wanted to ask the impossible, I asked my mom that could I go to boarding school and she said no, then I asked the man and he said yes.

He somehow managed to convince her that it would teach me how to live on my own and make me grow up. My mom then agreed, we bought all the materials that was on the boarding list and paid all the fees.

It was the Sunday of resumption, and I was very excited, it was time to say bye to the house. I had put all my bags into the car . My mom usually prayed for me when I went anywhere, and this was no exception. She called me to her room, she started praying that all will be well and I will come back safe, my sister was already in college so she rarely came home and couldn’t see me off.
When she was done praying she hugged me and took me to the boarding the school. It was a far drive but we finally arrived.

The boarding school was big, they had just increased the size, they were done with the girl’s quarters, but not the boys. It was very big, excessively big.

So the boys had to spend four nights at the ground floor of the girl’s quarters. Everything went fine for the four days, we went to school and came back, did all activities and lived normally for the four days.

It was the beginning of the fourth day, we left the girl’s quarters and went to the boy’s quarters, we packed all our stuffs and got settled in.  Some doctors came over and took our blood, they were checking on our health to see if anyone was sick at all, at least that’s what they told us. Then
our guardians told us that we would be staying in the hostel for two weeks due to news passed by the government and they would let us know if there is any update. We accepted the news, because we couldn’t check whether it was true or not. The compound was very big and the building was very large, if I didn’t check well I could get loss. After we had stayed in the house for two days that’s when I started seeing it.

We usually had devotion after we woke up, the school was a Christian school, it was compulsory.
After we had the morning devotion we carried out the normal activities and time passed till it was time to go to bed but I saw something strange outside.   

I saw a barrier on the outside of the building, which covered the boarding school like a dome, with what looked like ancient symbols written on it. We weren’t allowed to go out after lights out so after two days of not being able to sleep due to barrier I snuck out to check it out.

I touched the barrier but nothing happened, I then went outside the barrier but nothing happened also, but the truth was I didn’t notice that my spirit was still inside the barrier but my physical body was outside the barrier, I watched my spirit begin to fail and also fade, without a host to keep it bound to the physical realm, it was getting worse. And there was nothing I could do my spirit looked at me with a smile like it was about to vanish and my body was quickly becoming mindless.
