I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew I was having my cheek prodded. I yawned and without opening my eyes I stretched my arms over my head. When I did open them I came face to face with Gabe. There was barely 3 inches between us.
"Come on trouble, we're home," he said lifting me out of the car and placing me on the ground. He then grabbed my hand as if he couldn't restrain himself from having skin to skin contact with me.
I looked around to see we were outside an average sized, two story house. There was a small patch of grass out the front with a long driveway on the left that lead up to a garage with a beautiful painting of an orange and black sports car on its door.
"Did you do that?" I asked Gabe, my voice barely above a whisper. Gabe followed my gaze and nodded his head. He lead me up the drive part way. and we took a small right so we were outside the white front door, and not standing on the lawn. He unlocked the door and lead us in.
The place itself wasn't what I was expecting. Yes it was really well designed and all of the colors matched perfectly but it didn't express Gabe. The walls were a calm cream color with a blue flower pattern and a light blue carpet. On the left was a small staircase but we didn't go up it. We walked straight forwards and into a dining room that was also cream colored. The floor and the walls were a matching cream color, however the walls also had small read squares printed on it. There were red curtains on the left side with a large wooden table in the left center and a drinks cabinet on the right against the wall. We walked through quickly and into a kitchen. The kitchen was older and I could tell Gabe hated going in there, because of the way his eyebrows started curving into a frown. The kitchen wasn't as well decorated and was in desperate need of a new paint color and counter tops.
"Come on trouble lets grab a sandwhich before we go up yeah?" he said. Luke and Kota were talking behind us about something but I didn't listen in. Silas was just standing there, watching me closely. I walked towards him and lent into his arms as he wrapped them around me.
"Are you okay Silas?" I asked him craning my neck to look up at him.
"I'm fine, aguelle Mou," He said, his chest rumbling against my back.
"Luke, help a brother out?" asked Gabe as he tried to balance some food on his hand. He already had butter, ham, lettuce and what looked like a pot of mayonnaise in his hands. Luke was so caught in his conversation with Kota he didn't notice. I heard Gabe huff as he tried to turn around, walking slowly and trying not to drop anything.
I giggle and went forwards taking the lettuce and butter from his hands. He gave me a relieved and thankful smile before walking to the counter top where a bread board sat. A fresh loaf of bread on its right. We put down our ingredients and he started buttering the bread. Once it was buttered he put it to one side.
"anything I can do to help?" I asked him, feeling weird just standing and watching him. He glanced up from the piece of bread he was buttering to look at me, before he went back to work.
"Yeah, do you want to start putting a layer of lettuce on the pieces of bread I have already done?" he said, gesturing with his head to the pile of bread. I walked over and did what he said. Once I finished all of them and was waiting for the last piece of bread, I turned around, my chin gently hitting Gabe's shoulder. I blushed and turned back around. I hadn't realized how close we were.
"here trouble, there's the last one," he said plopping it in front of me. I put the lettuce on it before adding mayonaisse and then them ham, once I finished I passed it on to Gabe and he cut it in half. We put them on five plates and walked in between Kota and Luke who still hadn't noticed us. But as we walked inbetween them to go back through the dining room and up the stairs, they stopped talking.
"Hey, do I get a sandwich?" asked Luke as he looked at me. I silently handed him one of the plates whilst Gabe gave the other to Kota.
We walked up the stairs and I noticed that on the left was a bathroom, the right had a bedroom and beyond that was two more bedrooms. We went into the end one, and I looked around. This room had Gabe written all over it. His walls were covered with paintings and sketches, doodles and master pieces. There were drawings of their Academy logo, a drawing of a hand drawing, a painting of a guitar and a rose, a painting of angel wings, a drawing of a motor bike that looked suspiciously like North's. You name it, it was there.
On the left of the room was a double bed with neon green colored bed sheets. The right had a desk cluttered with sketches and hair brushes, sprays and paints. I looked over the room again, my eyes wide. It was a lot to take in.
"look at her face Gabe, I think she's gone into shock, don't worry Sang sweetie, I felt like that the first time I came in here too," said Luke his mouth half full with the sandwich. I could tell Gabe wasn't happy about that, he probably thought I didn't like it. I blinked a couple of times before a huge smile spread across my face. It represented Gabe so well and I loved it.
"That's the best reaction I've got so far," Said Gabe a smile spreading across his face.
"You said the same when North saw your room," said Silas. I started giggling imagining North's reaction to this. Everyone looked at me before Luke started laughing, Kota, Silas and Gabe joining in.
