I WATCHED AS MY brother and sister wolfed down their foods, and I, with an amused smile on my face and a camera in my hand, silently recorded it. Funny thing is that they do this all the time, with any food they order, while I record it and laugh at anyone who finally pukes."Done!" Kira yells into Ethan's ear, licking the sauce off her fingers, Ethan groans and clutches his stomach, "I think I'm going to explode!" I burst out laughing, watching as his face morphs into pain and finally into a -I think I'm going to puke now- look. His eyes widen and he dashes out of the building, leaving his half eaten burger on the table, "Don't mind if I do." Kira says and starts wolfing down his food.
"How are you still eating?" I ask as I turn off the camera, picking at my own fries, "What? A big lady needs a big lunch don't you think?" I shake my head at her. Kira and Ethan are twins, both having the same blonde hair and big blue eyes, they look like a carbon-copy of each other to be honest, if I stood by them, telling others I'm their sibling with my dirty blonde dreadlocks and mismatched eyes, they'd just raise their brows in a 'Seriously?' kinda way.
Ethan strides back in with a happy face, a stupid grin in his face, he plops down into his seat and waves his phone around, "What are you so happy about?" Kira questions with a look on her face.
"I just got the number of the hottest chick ever!" He whistles making me fake gag, "How'd you get my number?" Kira asks with a smirk, "Oh don't flatter yourself, a squirrel wouldn't date you if its life depended on it." He cackles, "Oh yeah? Then explain how I'm with your best friend." She shoots back, I can't help but relax into my chair, watching their bickering go back and forth.
My phone pings, I check to see that my best friends are already close to the restaurant, I look around, nothing fancy, just a really dark floor wood board, bland walls, a counter, tables everywhere, and turned-off light bulbs. I shove another fry into my mouth, knowing I won't be able to in a couple of weeks.
I turn my attention back to Kira and Ethan who were laughing at something on his phone, a smile tugs at my lips, watching them argue and then suddenly decide to laugh at someone together was always very amusing.
The bell at the doorway jingles as someone pushes the the door open, I turn and find myself looking at my best friends, Macy and Adam. I smile, turning back to face the twins, "Guys, I gotta go now, I'll see you later." Ethan nods absentmindedly while Kira waves me away, I roll my eyes and pick up my backpack, safely tucking my camera into a corner, "You ready to go?" Adam asks, running his hand through his brown curls. I nod my head, following them to his car.
"So, is there something you guys would like me to know, like since when you became a thing?" I smirk as I see Adam stiffen, "What are you talking about?" Macy asks with a high pitched voice, and a high pitched voice always meant something, "Oh come on, do you really think I didn't see the heated make out session?" I wiggle my brows at her and nudge her with my elbow.
I've been best friends with Macy since the third grade, she was the new kid, super rich which made everyone jealous. How we became friends? It was easy, it started with 'Is that pen really purple?' It's funny because it was the only way a kid of six was to get friends.
Now, come to think of it, you have to impress everyone just so they'll comment on your hair, and they might not say anything nice. "You saw it?" Adam asks as he opens the door, I run for shotgun and Mace huffs, getting into the backseat. I laugh and stick out my tongue at her.
"Of course she saw it, her life would be boring without us." Macy scoffs making me roll my eyes, "Oh please, you guys need my awesome self in your lives!" I smile as Adam starts driving, "What did you film today?" Macy asks, chewing on a bubblegum. "Burger eating contest." I pass her the camera, pulling out my phone and texting June. Macy's horse laughter cracks through the silence in the car. "How did he lose to Kira?" She asks as she passes the camera back to me, I shrug and hang it around my neck.
