Haruto's POV
Japan, 2013
I was watching intensely GD & TOP's High High MV on TV.
Maybe because I was too focused that I didn't realise my lips was repeating TOP's rap part-- and if there was an intruder watching secretly behind me. It was when a thrilled and shrill voice popped out then I just realised about it.
"Woaah, you rap really good!" said the intruder. My body was jolted and I turned around, only finding that captious foreigner girl. Her bright eyes were staring at me with genuine interest, making me uncomfortable. Instinctively, I turned off the TV and hided my self behind sofa.
"Kora*! It's rude to hide like that when someone complimented you." she complained, which ignored by me. It's you who's rude to sneak on me, annoying girl. I thought to my self.
*Notes: Kora means 'Hey!' in Japanese, but in the context of 'scolding'.
"But I really mean it, your rap is really good. It's so similar to TOP's!" she said again. "You shoud show your rap to me again someday, Haru-kun!"
I kept silent but my lips was twerking, trying to hold my smile because her honest compliment. My parents often appraised me indeed, but hearing compliment for another stranger is truly boost my confidence.
"..Arigatou." I said weakly.
"Nani? What are you saying?!" she asked me excitedly.
"I said thanks! Ugh, you're so annoying." I snapped at her. She had been staying at my house for 1 week and she was really talk-active, trying so hard to get into our family. It works on my parents and Airi-chan, but not for me. I swear this cheeky girl was trying to steal my spot as the first kid in Watanabe's family! I'd dislikes her, fact.
Suddenly that annoying girl was besides me and giving me mischievous and curious look. Gosh, this cheeky girl. She got some nerve though. "Haruto-kun, do you remember my name?" she asked curiously.
I kept being silent again. Of course I know her name. Despite of her annoying presence, her name truly intrigues me. It sounds similar to Aira-chan's and the meaning can be multiplied, but personally I always linking 'Aria' as bright. And I couldn't deny if her name suited her a little bit too much.
"Why did you ask such a stupid question?" I asked her back.
She grinned widely and looking truly happy with knowing that I remembered her name.
"Nothing. I wonder if someday you'll rap with my name on it!"
I didn't budge hearing her odd request. It was really random to the point my brain actually processing her request further, in which my brain has already creating the lines for rap about her name. I shook my head immediately.
"And why would I want to do it!?" I snapped at her.
She laughed wickedly. "Oh c'mon! To improve your rap skill, maybe? I heard from Okaasan if you want to be a rapper! Therefore, I challenge you to write a rap with my name on it. Can youuuu?!" she asked me with enthusiastic tone, handed a fake mic in front of my face.
I brushed her hand aside. "I'll see what I can do." I said with a small voice. I didn't want to do such a stupid thing but I couldn't just reject her challenge. After all, it sounds indeed challenging. And well, I like her name too. It would be explore-able to begin with.
She clapped her hands pleasantly. "That's Haru-kun!" she cheered me. I couldn't hold my small smile. This girl is weird but her enthusiasm somehow contagious.
