a/n; feel like I've tortured you all long enough... for now. enjoy (:

I had just entered the hospital and made my way to Brendon's room when I saw nurses and doctors rush inside his room. I gasped and ran over to them, hoping that this wasn't another scare. When I got closer to the room, i could hear the rapid beeping coming from the heart monitor. Nurses rushed to Brendon's side, trying to figure out what's happening and running over a few checks. It was like this for a while, before suddenly the beeping stopped. Flatlined.

"No.." I gasped again, covering my mouth with my hands as a nurse shouted at another to get something.

"We're loosing him!" A nurse shouted, I fell to my knees on the floor.

I couldn't process anything, everything became a blur and everything I was hearing just became an annoying buzz as I heard the nurse shout the words i never wanted to hear.

"He's gone."

My heart shattered instantly, I doubled over and punched the ground crying loudly. I didn't care about who saw me, I didn't care how loud I was being. I couldn't handle this information, he can't be gone!

The nurses stood at the door with their heads down as one announced the time of death, but I couldn't hear it. Everyone was silent for a while, all that could be hear was my loud cries.

"Y-y/n?" A quiet, hoarse voice spoke out. The heart monitor started to beat steadily again. Everyone gasped, my head shot up to see Brendon worriedly looking around the room.

"Oh- oh my god, Bren!" I sobbed, rushing to my feet before running over to him.

The nurses stood with their mouths hung open, looking in shock at what just happened. I laid in the bed next to him, my chest buried in his chest as I held onto him tightly. I put one of my legs over his, and his arms slowly found their way around my waist. I was crying uncontrollably, Brendon shushed me quietly.

"Y-you're okay? You're really a-awake?" I questioned softly, wiping my eyes and wearily looking up at him.

"I'm okay, baby." He whispered, gently stroking my hair.

"I-I-" my sentence broke to more tears coming, Brendon smiled weakly.

"It's okay." He looked up at me, his eyes tired looking but happy at the same time.

I kissed him softly, as I was about to pull away he pulled my head closer to his so he could deepen our kiss. We kissed slowly, forgetting about the nurses quietly stood by the door and forgetting about everything that's happened. When we finally pulled away we smiled at each other, then a nurse cleared her throat.

"Mr. Urie, we would like to run a few tests to make sure everything is okay and running smoothly." She announced, stepping forward.

"Yeah uh, sure." Bren answered, looking at the nurse then back at me quickly and nodded slightly.

I climbed off the bed and sat in the chair next to him, he held my hand tightly and stared intently into my eyes whilst the nurses did whatever they had to do.

"How are you feeling?" A nurse asked, soft spoken.

"Tired." Was Brendon's quick reply.

"In any pain at all?" She questioned, writing something down on a clipboard.

"Uh, no, not really. My head hurts a little." Bren furrowed his eyebrows together, breaking our gaze to glance at the nurse.

"Oh! That's okay, it should get better." She smiled worriedly, biting her bottom lip before her and all the other nurses excused themselves. It was just us two left alone now.

"Come here." He whispered, opening his arms out for me to cuddle up next to him, and that's exactly what I did.

We laid there quietly, I placed my head on his chest just above his heart to hear the steady beats. I contemplated calling everyone to let them know that Brendon is awake, but found myself drifting off into sleep to the rhythm of his heart. Brendon was running a hand through my hair, keeping me relaxed with a context smile on both of our faces. He kissed my forehead before softly singing to me.

a/n; had to have one last little drama before I gave you what you wanted... are you guys happy now? 😂
