I had woken up early, way before Bren. For a while i just lay there, tracing a finger along his jawline and often attempting to tuck a stubborn piece of hair behind his ear. I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky we both were. He was still here, and for now he's okay and getting better. He's here, alive.

After an hour or so of just taking in the fact that Brendon was still there in front of me, I eventually got up and went downstairs to make myself a drink. During the time it took me to finish making my drink I had decided to invite a few friends around, I knew that seeing them could help Brendon feel better. Especially after the dream he had, all I want to to at the moment is just wrap him up in a little blanket cocoon and never let the world get to him ever again, but seeing more people other than just me will help him realise that he really has survived the crash.

For a moment I stood there, remembering how we met. It's strange how people can go from being a wrong number, to suddenly being the love of your life sleeping in the bed you both share together. The best things work out in the most random ways, it's all very bittersweet.

After my short time of reminiscing, I picked my phone up and began to contact some of our friends. Brendon would appreciate the company, more company than just me. Eventually I had managed to call everyone, most being unable to make it but a few could. A few was all that mattered, it would still be enough to cheer Bren up. I went and sat in the bed with him once more, admiring his features before deciding it would be best to start getting ready for our visitors. I didn't particularly want to, as he seemed to peaceful, but I knew I had to wake Bren up too.

"Baby?" I gently shook his shoulder, "come on, wake up sweetie."

"What?" Brendon groaned, twisting his body and stretching as he opened his eyes, "Good morning."

"Good morning!" I smiled, kissing his forehead, "I have something planned for us today, so we need to get dressed."

"Planned? What have you planned?" he furrowed his eyebrows, pouting a little whilst mumbling about having to leave the safety of our bed.

"It's a surprise! You don't get to know just yet." I giggled, playing with his hair for a few seconds before walking away and getting dressed.

Turning around I saw Brendon still sat up in bed, wiping his eyes and yawning a little before smiling at me sheepishly. I smiled and shook my head a little, making my way into the kitchen to make him a coffee to help wake him up more. Checking the time quickly I noticed there was only a few minutes before our visitors would show, meaning I'd have to hurry Bren out of the bed. And so I did, coffee in hand I walked back to the bedroom, placing the mug in Bren's hand and putting an arm around him lovingly as he sipped his coffee. We stayed like that for a while, the only sounds being our breathing and Brendon drinking. It was peaceful, I had completely forgotten what I was originally doing until the doorbell went off, startling us both.

"Shit," I cursed, rushing out of the bedroom shouting, "Hurry up and get ready! Speedy!" as I exited. I could hear Brendon laughing from the bedroom as I opened the front door.

"Hi!" I greeted the men standing before me, hugging each of them before letting them enter the house.

"Hey y/n!"
