Chapter 1: A New Development

This is a new story I've started to, hopefully, get back into the swing of things. It's also the replacement for my New Queen story that I've put it on hiatus.

I know I should be updating my already existing stories with new chapters, but I just can't really fine the urge to do it. So for now I'll be working on this new one for a time.

As for those that are new to my stories I hope you enjoy. Also please leave comments, helps me know your actually interested in seeing where this is going.

Now on to the story!

Things were not looking good for the Autobots.

They had been fighting the Decepticons for possession of the Omega Keys, which were to be used to activate the Omega Lock and restore their dead world. At first things were going well for them. They had successfully taken the keys from the Decepticons and had managed to reach the Omega Lock's location first. Not long after the great machine had assembled itself Megatron arrived. The tyrannical leader suggested they hand over the keys. And when he was asked if they refused he brought out his incentive.   

The Decepticons had captured their human friends and brought them to Cybertron. What's worse is that they threaten to open capsules that they were held in, and expose them to the planet's toxic atmosphere. An instant death to be sure.

Which is where we are now.

"Now, Optimus, hand over the Omega Keys or we can all watch as your human pets instantly parish." Megatron requests with a cruel grin. He then turned to his second in command. "Starscream."

"Jaaaack~ It's time to come out and plaaaay~" Starscream taunts before then raking his pointed digits against the glass of the capsule.

Jack cringed away from the noise, but once it ceased he turned and glared at the seeker. "Go ahead. The Autobots were prepared to sacrifice themselves for my planet; I'll do the same for theirs."

"Me to creepy!" Miko proclaimed, agreeing with Jack's sentiment

"Mmhm." Rafael timidly agreed.

"Perhaps we should oblige them." 

The Autobots wanted nothing more than to rush forward and save their friends, but the Decepticons held all the cards. Optimus took a moment to think before looking to Megatron with resolve. 

"If my decision dooms the future of the Autobot cause on Cybertron then so be it, but I will never forsake our human allies." With that Optimus raised his blade, the Star Saber, and stabbed it into the ground before backing away to his fellow Autobots, letting the blade be the dividing point for both sides. 

From there the Autobots exchanged the Omega Keys for the kids. It wasn't an ideal situation, but they would not allow their friends to be harmed because of their involvement with them. Once the exchange was over with a Space Bridge opened up and Decepticons began pouring out. The Autobots were surrounded in moments, blasters pointed at them ready to fire. 

"Now bare witness as a new era dawns on Cybertron." Megatron inserted one of the keys into the Omega Lock, he cohorts doing the same one by one. As the ancient machine activated the tyrant raised his arms in triumph. "Behold, the age of the Decepticons!" 

Once the Omega Lock was fully activated Megatron test fired it. A beam surged forth from the machine and hit one of the destroyed buildings in the distance. Everyone watched in awe as in mere moments the building was restored to perfect condition, as if it were brand new.
