The start of a new day was indicated by the sun, rising over the horizon and shining its light into the chambers of the mansion. The sunlight seeping through the curtains lit up the room Jeremy was in, showing us that he has been up already and his bed was neatly made. He sat down and looked out at the nature. The forest surrounding this mansion called to be explored, if not for an adventure then just for the joy of it and Jeremy thought if leaving Subaru to his devices would be wise. It wasn't like Subaru was in any danger, he could just resurrect over and over... However, what kind of a man is Jeremy? He wouldn't let his friend die if he was able to prevent it. He didn't notice however that the cup he had been holding in his hand shattered in his hand and he's been squeezing sharp pieces of now shattered porcelain cup. He wiped off any shards on his hand and looked at the blood seeping from the cuts and got inspiration to check up on Subaru. He took a handkerchief that was delivered along with the cup and swiftly covered his hand. The red liquid wasted no time in seeping through the white cloth as Jeremy sighed and made his way outside his room and into the hallway, turning his head both ways and walking around trying to find anyone.
Meanwhile Subaru is having his measurements taken in order for Ram to give him his clothes but Sadly, every suit they had was too large for the teenager. "Hmm, there's no way you can work around in clothes that big. Rem, will you sew the suit to his measurements?" The red haired maid asked her sister as the outfit hung on Subaru. Rem nodded and took the suit and made her way to her room to start working on it as Ram and Subaru made their way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for everyone. To Subaru's surprise Emilia was waiting on them, a visible frown on her face as she was staring at different cutting utensils but perked up at the sound of doors opening. Quickly glancing over at the duo, she greeted them. "Good morning Subaru, and Ram! I suppose you're here to prepare breakfast?" "Yes, Emilia-sama. Although it will take a bit longer seeing as Rem is not here to help us. Is there any reason as to why you would be here?" Ram asked the white haired girl as Subaru went around the kitchen looking at different pans and buckets, not wanting to listen in on their conversation. "I was going to wake up Jeremy and see if he would like to... You know, keep me company but I can't really find him so I guessed I would ask Subaru for help!" He perked up when he heard his name and turned around to face the half elf and started saying something only to be cut off by a person walking in. And the person was no other than the devil himself, Jeremy. He heard the commotion as he was walking down the hall and decided to head in, at first he'd walked into the magical library which angered the unknown loli, so trying to ease down the unknown girl he quickly apologized for his rude entrance and left her to her own devices. The second time he tried the door, he found himself in the kitchen and noticed two familiar faces and familiar red hair talking to each other but stopped and looked in his direction. "Well, looks like I found him." Emilia spoke while looking at the new adult that just joined them in the kitchen, his head a mere centimeters from the top of the door frame. "Am I interrupting something?" Jeremy said in a quiet tone surprising Subaru quite a bit as he had never heard Jeremy whisper, Ram along with Emilia shook their heads, giving him a approval to join in on the conversation so he walked in and shut the door behind him. The trio stared at him as he focused his attention at Subaru and his normal yet Stern tone came back. "I wanted to know your plans for today in case I need you for something. And might as well get the training schedule from Ram seeing as I'll have to go to a blacksmith to get myself a blade." Emilia's ears perked up at the mention of going out into the city but decided to keep the excitement to herself as she turned to Ram, curious about her answer. Red haired girl sighed in annoyance, clearly forgot about his sword practice and shook her head. "Ask Rem, tell her I'll take over her duties as long as she trains you. She might be able to help you pick out a weapon for you." "I can go with him, seeing as I know a village with a blacksmith. If I'm not wrong, Rem had her weapon made there." Emilia added, wanting to spend more time with our blonde teen as he directed his gaze at her, thinking about what she said and nodding his head, he agreed with her.
Ram however, saw this opportunity as a perfect excuse to help her sister make a friend seeing as Rem was a maid and did everything Roswaal asked her to do. She would never take breaks and doing so she had a few burnouts where she would try to work nonetheless but seeing Ram worried, she'd usually stop and rest. Ram suddenly spoke up taking Subaru by surprise. "I know this will be selfish of me to ask, but could you take Rem along? I fear she might be overworking again and I dont think I'll be able to convince her this time." Emilia sighed but agreed in the end because it is about the health of her maid. Jeremy had no obligations what so ever and in his mind she might as well help him pick out a weapon fit to his physique and seeing as he wasn't built like an average Japanese man, a katana wouldn't suit him but he could use one as a backup sword. Just as Subaru tried to say something for the third time an audible *Thud* could be heard as everyone looked around for the source. "Did you hear that?" Subaru asked, forgetting about what he had to say. Jeremy however felt something hit his back and turned his head around, noticing that the door has been opened slightly ajar. He finally realized that he still stood in front of the door effectively blocking it and took a step to the side and the door slowly opened. Rem was already done with Subaru's clothes and if he wished, he could change into them right now and thats what he did. He took the clothes from her and excused himself as he went out to his own room...
And after sometime of convincing Rem to join both of them, here they are, walking In a group towards a village. Rem was quiet throughout the journey and Emilia kept on talking about what kind of village it is, how the villagers treat her and how they usually come there to buy clothes or supplies that they use in the kitchen. "Emilia, thank you for reminding me. We are running short on spices and other ingredients so we can buy them in the meantime." Rem spoke up but Jeremy had other plans. "We only came here for the blacksmith, you can buy your ingredients at the end of the day and might aswell show it to Subaru since he's going to work with you all." He told back, and Emilia seemed to agree with the blonde. Rem however did not like that and opted to look away in frustration, already not liking our protagonist... Or sidekick. The silence was one of Jeremy's favorites, but he is a curious fellow and he likes to ask questions when there's nothing else to talk about. He looked at Rem and asked "What are you?" A question that made Rem turn her head around in confusion. Emilia also looked at Jeremy in confusion since what kind of question is that? "Sorry, let me rephrase it. What race are you? I heard Emilia is a half elf, I'm a human as much as I know, so I thought you mi-" His explanation came to a stop when Rem stopped dead in her tracks. Finally Emilia understood what he said before waving her hands in front of his face. "You shouldn't ask her that, Jeremy! She's uncomfortable talking about herself, even more about her past!" Emilia yelled out at the teen as he sighed, his ears about to pop, "Whatever happened in her past, I don't give a damn about that. All I want to do is get along and the best way to do that is to get to know each other, isn't that right? Oh well, whatever, we might as well just talk about it while we train." He spoke back to Emilia as Rem came back from her thoughts and realized what he said...
Arriving at the blacksmith, Jeremy had an idea for what kind of sword he wanted. But he also knew it would take a bit of time for it to be finished so he decided to get himself a Nodachi along with a Tanto. A nodachi is a sword, typically associated with a katana seeing as they share the same appearance but nodachi is way longer in length. A tanto is opposite of Nodachi, being quite short in length, being almost the same length as a forearm and excellent at Close and personal fights. He Thanked the blacksmith and then joined Emilia with looking around the village while she admired his new weaponry along with Rem, seeing as they have never seen such swords.
