I couldn't hear anything but his voice, but he wasn't talking, at least not to me. He wasn't even looking at me. I wasn't sure if I was seeing things, or if he was really here. All I know is that, deep down, I was hoping it was him.
"Babe?" Holden was staring directly at me, waving his hand in my face. "Earth to Aria!", he said laughing.
I looked at Holden, but said nothing. I opened my mouth, but no words were coming out. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the closest store-Forever 21-and hid behind a clothing rack. Holden laughed at me.
"This isn't funny" I quietly screamed.
"Sorry, but I'm lost. What's going on?"
"Nothing, just....nothing."
He started walking towards Forever 21, and I got a little happy. But then I noticed he wasn't alone. There was a girl holding onto his arm.
"You know what, I give up" I said revealing myself from behind the clothing rack. I grabbed Holden and pulled him to the opening of the store.
Holden stared at me confused, but then smiled. "I love you" he said, staring into my eyes. I stared back into his, and my eyes started to tear up, but I forced myself through it. "I love you too". He kissed me so passionately, but I didn't feel the passion. I felt pain.
"Aria?"he said . I almost couldn't believe it. I slowly pulled away from the kiss and turned towards him. I tried my best to hide my smile.
I didnt think I was going to say anything at all, but words actually came out."Hey, Ezra".
