Sparks Fly - Laxus Dreyar

1. Meeting

Aria laughed through the pain in her leg as Natsu finally beat Hades.

"You did it, Natsu," she smiled. Then the sun was back out, and the clouds were gone.

Aria glanced behind her to take a good look at the man who showed up in the middle of the fight. The one they called Laxus. Her head snapped back to Natsu as he let out a yell, a sign of victory.

Aria raced back to everyone, intending to hug them until she couldn't hug them anymore.

"This is our Guild!!!" Natsu yelled.

"Damn right it is," Aria laughed.

"It's over..." Gray said.

"Yeah." Erza transformed into her usual armor.

"We won, didn't we," Wendy said.

"Hell yeah we did," Aria finally hugged them all.

"Here's your scarf," Lucy said to Natsu.

"Thanks." The peacefulness was over in a second, though.

Everyone looked to the side as they heard Happy and Wendy. "Everyone!"

"Save me, Natsu," Happy cried, and Aria looked behind them.

"Oh," Aria said. The exceeds were running from the henchmen of Grimoire Heart.

"You guys..." Natsu said, trailing off.

"Are those...?"

"This isn't good," Gray stood up.

"Curses... We really have zero magic power left," Erza said.

"We can make this work," Aria corrected her posture as she spoke.

"Sorry, but I am also out of magic power."

"Lily," Aria scolded, "what did I just say?"

"They're all angry," Happy cried.

"Well, I don't really blame them," Carla said.

Then, Gramps and the rest of the guild stepped forward. "That's far enough!"

"Gramps!"

"Everyone," Lucy said.

"Master! And Gajeel-san, too," Wendy chimed.

"I'm glad you're all safe," Gray smiled.

"Yes. With the island returned to normal, so is its divine protection."

Everyone was cheering, and Aria looked over to see Laxus give a look of affirmation to his old man. Wasn't he the one that was expelled for something? Aria couldn't remember for the life of her.

Aria grinned, thinking about how badass everyone looked staring at the fools trying to pick a fight with Fairy Tail. And how they ran away apologizing for all the trouble they caused when they saw their master had been beaten.

Everyone was cheering and hugging each other, but Aria turned again to look at the blond behind the others.

She leaned in a bit as Gramps walked by him. And when he glared at Laxus, the said blond looked away like a child being scolded, and...he looked kind of cute doing it.

"You did good, coming back...you think that's what I'd tell you, blockhead?!" Aria had to stifle her laughter as Laxus looked away from Gramps while he yelled. "You think you can set foot on Tenroujima wile you're still expelled?!"

"Pipe down, old man."

Aria laughed moving to stand in front of Laxus and next to Gramps, "Gramps, calm down."

She giggled again as she heard Lily, "His head is huge!"

"Now, now..." Levy added hesitantly.

Aria looked to the Rajinshu behind her. "L-Laxus...!"

And somehow, she was smushed between them as Laxus as they cried. "Laxus, you're back?!"

"How did I end up in this?!" Aria found that her heart was racing as she was really the one hugging Laxus, with the other on top of her. Aria looked up at Laxus, "Sorry. I'm Aria, by the way. Aria Crowne."

"Eh, it's fine. Laxus Dreyar," Laxus said, before pausing as he finally looked at Aria. When their eyes finally met, it could be noted that Laxus' eyes widened, and his heart was beating a lot faster than before. Then he looked at the fools on top of the two. "Get off."

Aria looked back to Mira and Elfman, and heard them talking as she tried to wiggle out of the hug she was forced into. "Master sure is harsh...'cause he's a Man."

"Yes. While he's still expelled, is it?"

Aria finally managed to get from between Freed and Laxus. "And I thought I was a hugger," she sweat dropped, sitting up.

Then Aria turned to Gajeel and Natsu squabbling, just as Natsu passed out.

"H-Hey! What kind of passing out is that?!"

"Looks like a side effect from eating something other than flames," Erza said.

"Anyway, shall we return to camp," Wendy asked.

"We have to rest, or our bodies won't hold up."

Aria looked at the Rajinshu and giggled as they helped Laxus up. "Hmm, mind helping me up, too?" And then, she sweat dropped as Ever actually pulled her up. "H-hah? I was kidding."

"Well, I'm not helping them, so," Ever shrugged.

"I'm sure I can walk, I'm just a lazy ass, is all," Aria said, but the moment Ever let go of her, she fell down. "Okay, maybe I'm not just lazy, but you can't totally deny my laziness," Aria joked as Evergreen pulled her up again. "So anyway, you and Elfman, huh?"

"No way, me and that big oaf?" Aria laughed at Ever's futile attempts of defending herself.

Aria listened to the people conversing around her as she laid sprawled out in the dirt. "Hmm this was fun and all, but I wanna go home now," she mumbled, unaware of how she was being watched by a certain blond.

"I'm glad you came back, Laxus," Aria heard Bixlow say.

"Came back, came back!"

"Yeah, I ain't really back."

"Laxus is back!" Aria was sure anyone within a 10 mile radius could hear Freed crying over Laxus, and she turned to talk to Laxus.

"Good luck convincing him on that," she stifled her laugh.

"I'm trying to tell ya.." Laxus made a face.

"Elfman did such terrible things to me while you were gone, Laxus!" Evergreen smirked, totally throwing Elfman under the bus. "Would you punish him for me?" Aria couldn't help the snort that escaped her when Ever made the request.

"You bastard!"

"What happened to that 'nothing happened' story, Ever?"

"Oh? When did you two...?" Aria couldn't hold her laughter anymore as Laxus questioned Elfman, and Laxus glanced at her, his lips twitching up the slightest bit at the grin on her face.

"Hold it a sec! It's kind of hard to explain," Elfman said.

"Sure, sure," Aria cackled at them with glee as Laxus nodded his head and patted Elfman on the shoulder.

"What's that supposed to mean," Elfman yelled out.

And everything was perfect in that moment.
