Dear Delilah,
It's been years since I last saw you. But it seems like decades to me. You were my first love, and I hope that you have waited for me like you said you would. I 've been waiting for a while and I miss your voice, your face, you. I miss you, Delilah, and I hope you miss me too.
Love,
William
I set the piece of parchment down as I finished the letter.
I really missed her. I remember when she and I made a vow to wait for each other and not date anyone else when she went off to college. Now, here I am, four years later, waiting for her. When we were in high school, we had a spot where we met up at. It was called "Michelle's". It was a small café on the beachside.
Now, I wrote letters to her to pass the time. I burnt the letters after I wrote them, hoping they would somehow get to Delilah by spirit. I didn't know where Delilah was, so I couldn't write to her.
I glanced out the window and noticed that it had started to rain. More like a storm, really. I looked at my watch and it was getting pretty late. It was already 11:00PM!
I strolled to the stairs to my bedroom. I plopped myself onto the bed and fell asleep right as my head hit the pillow.
The storm was getting louder...
"William..." the wind called.____________________________________________________________
