Dear Delilah,

Where's Michelle?

RING! RING! RING! I woke up to the sound of an alarm in my room. I was still at my editing desk, but the alarm was ever so loud. I got ready like usual, and went to Michelle's for breakfast.

Once I got there, I found not Michelle, but a girl named Audrey.

"Hi I'm Audrey," she had said.

"Hi, I'm William, My friends call me Will," I replied. "May I ask where Michelle went?"
"She asked me to run the shop while she was gone,"

"Gone where?"

"She didn't say,"

Huh. I thought. That's very unlike Michelle, to leave without telling anyone where she was going.

I decided to go look for her.

"When did she leave?" I asked Audrey.

"Around six o' clock this morning,"

"Ok, thanks,"

I rushed off to buy a train ticket, but I didn't know where I would go. I thought of reasons why Michelle would leave and why she would go, and then it
hit me.

What if Michelle left to go find Delilah? She had been talking about how much she missed Delilah lately. But where does she think Delilah is? Wait a second. When we were all back in high school, Delilah had always talked about how much she wanted to go to New York.

If Delilah went to New york, I would have to buy a plane ticket. New York was 1,000 miles away from Minneaapolis.

"This is my best bet, isn't it," I mumbled to myself.

I went to a website and bought a ticket for New York. The next flight was at 7:00PM. It was 4:00PM right now, so I thought I should start packing. I didn't know how long looking for Michelle would take me, but I guessed around 1 week.

I packed a weeks worth of outfits, and other essentials. Things such as toothpaste, a toothbrush, etc.

I finished after about an hour, so by then, it was around 5:00PM. I hailed a cab and went to the nearest airport. I listened to music on the way to the airport.

As I was walking into the airport, I saw an old friend of mine, Jacob. We met in high school, but we drifted apart after graduating.

I recognized his face right away. He had barely changed.
"Hey dude!" I yelled to him.

At first, he had a puzzled look on his face, but then, his expression changed to a smile.
"Wait, Will?!"

"Yeah, bro, what are you doing here?"

"I'm coming home from my college in Cambridge."

"Oh yeah, you got into Harvard, I remember."

We parted and I went to the waiting station.

"Flight 23 is boarding, I repeat, Flight 23 is boarding."

That's my flight.

"Boarding group A please board."

I was in boarding group C, so I had to wait a little longer. My mind drifted off into space, and so did my thoughts.

If Michelle and Delilah were best friends, then why didn't Delilah tell
Michelle what college she went to? But what if she did?

I was taken out of my trance by a voice, "Boarding group C please board, I repeat, boarding group C please board."
