This will be a short series of stories based off of the above picture.
TW: blood, mention of cuts (from the transformation)During his first transformation, the Lupins didn't know what to expect. Lyall and Hope researched as much as they could but quickly realized that the real thing was much different from what they'd read.
Remus had stayed in his room as his parents stayed in their own bedroom, far from him for their safety. Despite the distance and thick walls, they could still hear their son's shrieks and screams for help.
By the fourth, Remus still hadn't come to accept that it wasn't going to stop. He fought just as hard every time as his parents shut him away in his room. They hated not being able to help, but they couldn't risk their lives. They were sitting in their bedroom as usual after getting Remus set up in his own room. They knew it wouldn't be long before the transformation began.
The screaming started sooner than every other time. Despite Lyall's protests, Hope ran to stand at her son's door, assuring him that she was there.
"Mum. Mummy," Remus whimpered. He'd hid under his bed and begun crying the second he was forced into his room. "Mummy, help. It hurts. Take him away. I don't like the wolf. He hurts me."
Hope was crying nearly as much as her son.
"I know he does but you have to relax. If you relax he'll be too scared to hurt you as bad. Be strong," she'd whispered before going back to her room and crying to Lyall.
Remus used every bit of his strength to fight off the wolf. He screamed and cried as he started transforming, an all too slow process.
He scratched all over himself, causing too much pain for a child.

Afterwards, Remus was curled up in the middle of his bedroom, shivering and lying in a pool of blood. Tears streamed down his face. Hope was the first into the room, running in with the blanket they had assigned for after the full moons, as it had blood stains that wouldn't come out and a certain scent that always calmed Remus.
She sat beside him and scooped him up before wrapping the blanket around him and holding him close.
"You're okay. He's gone now. He's gone for a long time now. You're alright," she whispered gently into his ear. She rocked him like a newborn baby.
Lyall stepped in a few minutes later to help her get Remus into the bath.
Remus basked in the warmth of the water and did his very best to ignore the stinging of the soap and wash cloth on his new cuts. There was one particularly deep cut that caused him to thrash away so roughly that he banged into the side of the tub. That one was left alone for now.
After being cleaned up and bandaged, he lay in bed, nearly swallowed by a sea of blankets. He didn't have much time to think before he fell right to sleep. He slept nearly all day for the next few days.
