Beta's Mate

Primrose:

The intensity around the pack was at an all time high  today. The sun rose quickly as sleep didn't find me peacefully durning the night.

My wolf  had been on edge every since the Alpha announced the Beta from the blue moon pack would be visiting today.

"Bella would you please stop bouncing around so much." I yelled. She quickly pushed my thoughts out the way as I rolled my eyes.

I could have used a spell on her but it wasn't like me to use my magic for evil. After all she was apart of me .

My magic was never used much unless it was to help others or make children smile. Many wolfs still considered us evil so my mother didn't allow me to use it often.

Most people around the pack still didn't like the idea of my mother being around but my father was the Beta of this pack so they didn't dare object to the idea.

"Primrose Summers I hope you out of that bed and getting ready for school." My mother shouted through mind-link. "

Who knew pregnant women could be so grumpy? I thought to myself.

"Excuse me young lady?" Her voice ranged through my head.

Nothing mother I will be down in ten minutes.

"Shit" I always forget to close my mind-link.

I ran toward my closet pulling out blue jeans and a white crop top. Brushed my teeth quickly as I washed my face .
"Only a few months left of school and I will be free." I whispered.

Knots locked around my curly hair as I brushed them out softly. I decided not to do much to it since I was naturally a red head and would be noticed anyway.

"You're the daughter of the Beta they will notice you anyway." Bella said softly.

"You're beautiful Rose." Our mate will love us.

Yeah, If we ever find him. I shout back.

"I'm sorry Bella" I don't mean to yell.
She closed our link which made my heart ache .

I was only this way because I thought Jackson would be my mate . We had been best friends since childhood.

But, when we both turned eighteen we didn't feel a bond between each other we knew it wasn't anything more but a friendship.

Bella never really cared for his wolf anyways but put up with him for me. He always had a crush on her since we both found our wolf .

She even attacked him once before when he wanted to have sex . I didn't blame her as Jackson spent weeks apologizing for his wolf behavior.

I never told a soul as my father would have his head.

I rushed downstairs as the smell of pancakes filled my nose.

Sam was sat at the table with my father as they both had become more protective when we found out she was pregnant.

"Sam even more so since he was her protector."
He and my father still didn't see eye to eye on most things but had a understanding.

No school today sweetheart. Beta Adonis will be here after breakfast. My father said firmly.

What? Why? I thought he wouldn't be here until this afternoon? I asked surprised.

"Just a change of plans." Just eat so we can leave afterwards.
I only nodded after he spoke . I knew not to push his too far .
His eyes held bags underneath them as he ate his breakfast.
Though he wasn't old Beta life was weighing down on him heavily.
My mother and I knew she was having a boy but my father was unaware. I was happy because he had someone to take his place as Beta .

Alpha and Female Alpha had a pup last month.
My pack was old fashioned. Believe women had one role and so did males . I knew my father loved me but he would love his son slightly more as he brought promise to the pack .

Bella was still on edge jumping around about something I couldn't understand as I ate .
"Maybe she was still upset with me " I thought .
Let's go Rose, he will arrive shortly. I gave my father a nod as I walked outside onto the front porch. Our home was further from the pack so the walk would be longer .

From a distance I could see others standing waiting to meet the famous Beta .
Once we came into view others cleared space for us to walk through as the nodded to show respect.
Alpha and Female Luna stood in front as we took our places in front of them .
A black jeep pulled up as Bella wanted out . M
"What is it Bella ?" I asked .

That was until I smelled something amazing. My head shot up to locate the smell of vanilla and chocolate.
"He is finally here " Bella screamed happily .
"My sweet mate " I heard a low voice say from a distance.
