Dear Diary,
Me and Kayleigh had a lot of fun yesterday. But there was something that happened which made me learn my lesson. I'm warning you all that this diary entry has a D.R.A.M.A volcano, which can erupt anytime! So be prepared.
Anyways, I'll continue with my day with Kayleigh. First, as you know, we danced and then went in the living room to watch Stranger Things. After that we played board games like Monopoly, Life, Scrabble and many more. During the game of life, Kayleigh got a mansion as her house. She was exceptionally happy as she got the biggest and the most beautiful house in that game and thought that she could easily beat me, by getting it. Honestly speaking, I personally didn't think that the mansion was the most beautiful house in the game of life. I prefer something simple, but nice. Kayleigh was really happy. She thought that she had $800,000 [Life Currency] to pay for the mansion, but she didn't. So instead of getting ahead of me in the game, she ended up taking loads of loan to pay for it.
That moment was hilarious. But I didn't laugh much, as I thought that Kayleigh would get upset as she didn't win. You see, Kayleigh's kind of the girl who always wants to win and be at the top. Last year, at our school in LA, Kayleigh didn't get many votes to become the cheer leading team captain and had a massive meltdown on the spot. That was a pretty bad day. But when we went to Kayleigh's house that day, we had a sleepover just like yesterday. Whenever she was about to remember the incident, I kept changing the topic. She had a lot of fun and forgot everything about the cheer leading team. Just like the 'cheer leading team' incident, I changed the topic and started talking about makeovers. And then she started telling me all about makeup. She knew a lot about it. She also told me all the tools and supplies we needed to do a perfect makeover. As we had planned before, both of us did makeovers. We weren't professionals, but the makeovers did turn out to be really good. It almost looked like we were going for The Red Carpet or The Grammys! [don't exaggerate Mia!].
As we were gazing at ourselves in the mirror for a long time, [It actually felt like FOREVER!] an idea popped in my mind and I asked Kayleigh if she wanted to go to The Hideout to buy some smoothies and sandwiches, as we would need them cause we were gonna watch a movie. She liked the idea and agreed.
We couldn't go outside the house without my mom's consent, and so we went to ask my mom. I told her my idea, but she disagreed. She said that we shouldn't go outside at night and that it was late. I said that many teenagers go out at late night to party and that I just wanted to go to the nearby cafe to bring some smoothies and sandwiches. My mom still refused to send me and Kayleigh. I started to argue with my mom, as I really wanted to go outside. Me and Kayleigh also had the perfect makeup on. But then, I stopped arguing with my mom when she raised her voice. I got annoyed and stomped off to my room. I slammed the door and started sulking.
Kayleigh gently opened the door and explained the reason why my mom didn't want to send us out. She said, "Mia! Your mom doesn't wanna send us out because she cares about us. She is scared if anything happens to us while going to The Hideout, or while coming back. She loves you Mia! There is a reason she's disagreeing, alright?". I didn't listen to her as I was really mad and wasn't in my concentrating zone.
I don't exactly know what happened to my mind afterwards, but I started thinking evil. I felt like doing something bad. And that's when another idea popped in my mind. And believe me, it was not a good one. I decided to sneak out of my house and go to The Hideout with Kayleigh. I really wanted to ask Kayleigh if she wanted to put this plan in execution, but I knew that she would never agree to it. So, instead of asking her, I told her that I had been very mean to my mom and that I wanted to give her a rose as my apology and also that, I didn't want to go in the backyard alone, as I was scared. She said that she was happy that I realized my mistake and that, she would love to come with me in my backyard.
