And just like that, the moment was short-lived. Any thoughts of closing the gap between the two of you were gone as quick as they had come and a scowl came over you instead.

"Not even a hufflepuff would fall for you." You snapped, putting as much distance between the two of you.

Yoongi laughed at your comeback, his dark eyes lighting up. Irritated by his amused reaction, you stood up and stormed off. There was no denying your disappointment with the fact that he had not insulted you back. Yoongi was just as creative as you were in comebacks and anything—and you mean anything—he could've come up with would've stopped the unwanted thoughts that were currently flooding through your mind.

"Are you okay?" A worried Jimin came into your view.

You hated him, too. Not the same way you hated Yoongi. You hated Jimin because he was such a sweetheart and if Yoongi was more like him, maybe he wouldn't have broken your heart all those years ago. So you didn't bother with replying to Jimin and hurried past him, desperate to get out of your wet clothes and as far as possible from any other slytherins.

Jimin stared after you still worried. When he turned back to Yoongi, Jungkook was helping him out of the fountain. He couldn't help but frown at his older cousin. "Are you crazy, hyung? That's not how you win a girl over!"

This time, it was Yoongi who was flustered as he watched after you. That night he lay in bed wide-awake, wondering how and when had his feelings for you changed. You had wanted to kiss him and the scariest part of it all, was that he wanted to kiss you, too. Did he truly ever hate you at all?

"The problem is," He leaned in so close to you. "If I kiss you, I don't think I'd be able to stop."

"What if I don't want you to stop?" You whispered, lightly brushing your lips against his.

He smiled then, his hand reaching out to cup your cheek and he finally pulled you in closer, closing the small gap-

You always woke up at the same part of your dream—right before your lips would finally press against his in what you'd imagine would be the sweetest kiss. This dream has plagued your nights ever since the day after your detention with Trelawney and had bothered you even more after your fountain incident. It's not like you'd never imagined kissing him before, but that day was the closest you two had ever been and you remembered every detail vividly—from the way his eyes bore into yours to the way his breath, brushing against your face had sent chills up your spine. And you hated it.

The mind-set that you once held so strongly with hatred—or what you thought was hatred— for the dark-haired Slytherin was slowly losing its resolve. But you always caught yourself before you could fall, knowing that if Yoongi knew about your feelings, he'd step aside and laugh as he watched you fall. Why he would he ever want a filthy little mudblood like you? The insults the two of spat at each other daily were a constant reminder of that.

You groaned as you slapped your forehead as if that'd get rid of your thoughts. It was Sunday morning, meaning you had no class today so you decided to head for the courtyard to see if any of your friends were already there to distract yourself. Or at least, that was the plan.

As soon as you had stepped outside, your eyes spotted the culprit himself. He was seated at that damned fountain in the middle of the courtyard with Namjoon, Seokjin and his other friends that you couldn't be bothered with to know. You were just about to turn around when Namjoon caught you and was calling your name.

"Good morning, [Y/N]." Seokjin greeted, looking up at you to send you a smile as he peeled an orange.

"There's nothing good about this morning." You muttered under your breath, your eyes on Yoongi as you spoke. As if you had to look at him for them to know why you're morning was already off to a bad start.
