3rd POV
The start of Shoto's morning was hectic. Lots of screaming and yelling from Endeavor, following by lots of arguing from a furious Fuyumi. Meanwhile, Shoto was busy eating his final bowl of cereal in his childhood home, not that it's a bad thing he's leaving that shithole. His bags, packed and ready by the doorway for him to bring with him to the UA dorms. Clothes, books, toiletries, and other personal belongings, stuffed into separate bags, ready to move to a new, safer location. Shoto watches in silence as the last of his family members argue with him as the main topic. Lots of words spill from their mouths, words they'll get a hard time to forgive.
Endeavor slams his palms onto the kitchen counter, startling both Todoroki kids. "He's nothing to me anymore," Endeavor spits, "and this disgusting bastard shouldn't be protected by you either, Fuyumi!" In anger, he storms over and grabs Shoto's forearm, nocking him over and pinning his shoulder down to the floor. His cereal bowl falls to the floor, the spoon flying out of his hand, milk hitting the floor, it was pure chaos at this point.
"Father! Let go, don't touch him!" Fuyumi runs over to separate the two males, grabbing Endeavor's shirt to pull him off, but unable to prevent his fist from colliding with Shoto's face. A purple ugly bruise forms on Shoto's pale, flawless skin. Fuyumi gasps, covering her mouth in shock.
Shoto grunts, but is remaining calm. "Look, he's not even fighting back," a disappointed Endeavor scoffs, "this is a great example on why he's nothing but a pathetic failure." He gets off his son, glancing down at his expressionless face, more anger boiling inside him because of Shoto's careless reaction and monotone expression.
Staring into Fuyumi's eyes, "Clean up this mess immediately, or you can follow this piece of trash out the door," turning his back to his kids, he stomps away to the master bedroom to get some work done.
A good minute went by, without any talking between the two Todoroki siblings. Fuyumi told Shoto to hold a bag of frozen peas where it hurt, to prevent the bruise form becoming any worse. Shoto sits obediently at the island, peas in his face with Fuyumi doing the dishes at the sink in front of him.
"I'm sorry, Sho," she whispers, "I really tried this time...but I failed to help my brother in such a difficult situation. I'm really sorry that I failed again to protect my siblings..." she says with tears forming in her eyes. She turns the sink off and moves to the other side of the island. Her hand grabs Shoto's shoulder, and gently gives him a hug, and obviously Shoto has to hug his sister back. "I failed to protect Toya, I failed to protect Natsuo, and now...you're leaving too because of me," he sobs into the fabric of my shirt. I pat her head and lean my head against her.
"It's not your fault, Fuyumi. Don't worry about me, and be more careful with your own situation," Shoto let's go and looks her in the eyes with a gentle smile on his face, "I will be alright at the dorms, but if anything happens to you, you have to tell me, alright?" Eventually, she nods, giving him a kiss on his forehead before taking a few steps back, whiling her eyes in the progress.
"You should probably leave soon...you don't want to be late for school," she says, wiping her glossy eyes with her sleeve. Shoto nods and gets out of his stool. Fuyumi watches his brother get dressed, and as he waves goodbye. The door shuts behind him, leaving Fuyumi alone with their cruel father.
