Some days I whisper to the wind
On others I just shout,
Most days I know that I have sinned
Of that I have no doubt.
Some days I wish to smile
And on others I will cry,
Sometimes I’ll go that extra mile
To try and touch the sky.
Some days I feel like breaking
On others I’m like steel,
Sometimes I may be faking
What it is I truly feel.
Some days I know what’s right and wrong
On others I feel dumb,
Most days I feel like I belong
And love who I’ve become.
Some days I simply drag my feet
On others I will soar,
Sometimes I’ll try and be discreet
But most will hear me roar.
Some days I dance like no one’s there
On others I just sway,
Most times I live without a care
And sing my soul away.
Some days I’m downright insecure
On others I am strong,
Sometimes I am as immature
As centuries are long.
Some days I’m straight up happy
And on others I’m a mess,
Sometimes I might act crappy
And a jerk, I must confess.
But every day is something else
A chance to start anew,
Another time to be yourself
Before that day is through.
