(Mentions whipping)

'Why the hell did this bitch smell like Xaun?!' I yelled in my mind, as I glared at the black haired girl. She was sitting on the opposite side of where I was, with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Alright miss Verena, just calm down so we can understand what exactly happened." Ukiyo's father says. Verena didn't even show the slightest form of panick in her expression.

"I am calm, old man. And for your information, my slave ran from me and I want him back." Verena growled at the last part.

"And who might your slave be?" Ukiyo's father asks politely.

"I don't need to share such information with you, old man." She spat back at him. She then turned towards me and sniffed the air. Once she was done, a smile crept across her face that sent chills down my spine.

"Well isn't this a surprise." She said in a cold tone with that same chilling smile on her face. "Another omega." She turns her attention away from me and looks over at Ukiyo's father. "Why haven't I been informed of this?" She asked.

"Well, as you said my dear, 'I don't need to share such information with you'." Ukiyo's father replies with a sly smirk on his face. Ukiyo stood up and block Verena's view from me. I was a little grateful that he did that, but I felt a little mad that he thought i need to be protected.

"I don't need your help." I said, getting up and moving away from Ukiyo.

"I'm not asking for your help, I'm telling you." He replies, grabbing a hold of my wrist. I tried to break free from his grip, but it only resulted in him tightening his hand on my wrist. "You don't know her as I do, she isn't what she seems." He says.

"And you are?" I spat back, trying to yank my wrist out of his grip.

"That's not what I meant." Ukiyo replies. I could feel tears forming in my eyes as my hand started to go numb and my wrist throb in pain. Ukiyo released his grip when he saw my teary face.

"I'm sorry." He said, as I wiped my tears always.

"Well...you should be." I spat back and then walked out of the room. To think that I would believe that he would hurt me like that, but then again, he was an alpha. What was I expecting from him? Alphas only know how to  cause pain and suffering to whoever was around them, not the opposite.

(Time skip)

I was sitting in Ukiyo's room, looking out in the night sky. It pains me that I don't know what exactly happened to Xaun after we were separated. I desperately wanted to leave this dreadful place and search for my friend, at who knows where.

As soon as I thought about leaving the room, a shadowy figure walks in my line of vision. I cautiously sniffed the air to figure out who exactly it was and if I needed to shut the window. When I smelled the figure's smell, I instantly ran out of the room, not bothering on closing the door, and out of the building. I continued to run to where I saw the figure and was glad that he didn't leave. Sirens wailed in the background so it was hard for me to hear or talk to him.

Instead, I grabbed his wrist and ran inside the building I came out of. Once we were inside the lobby area, I immediately hugged him, afraid that if I let go he would be gone again.

"Oh my god, I thought I lost you." I said, as tears streamed down my face. I was a sobbing mess, but I didn't care. All I cared about was the person in front of me. "What happened? Where did you go?" I asked nonstop, that was until I heard a sob. I pulled away and then I saw it.

"Who the hell marked you, Xaun?" I growled in fury. The marking on his right neck gland was painted red with some bruising around it. I wanted to tear whoever marked him from limb to limb. I wanted to show how fearful, we omegas can be. I wanted...

"Well, look who came back?" Someone spoke from behind me. Xaun went stiff at the sudden voice as I tightly held on to him. "Aww, does my slave need protection from a slutty thing like this?" She replies sarcastically, snapping her fingers to signal the two guards by her to come near us.

I growled in hatred at them. One of guards tried to tear us apart, but was resulted in him yelling back in pain from me biting him. The other guard took his chance and yanked us apart. I fell onto the floor while Xaun was caught by the guard that yanked us apart.

"Seems that someone's in trouble." Verena replies, grabbing a hold of Xaun's chin. She snapped her fingers again and signal for the guard that was bitten to run off, only to come back holding something black. She grabs the black thing and slashes it in the air.

'No.' I thought as my eyes widen in fear from the black whip she held in her hand, walking over to where Xaun was being held by the guard. I scrambled to my feet before she was able to lay a single whip on Xaun's skin.

"I volunteer." I said, my voice shaky from knowing what was going to happen. Verena scoffs while she turns to look at me.

"What?" She says irritated, with one hand in her hip and the other slouch down at her side, holding the whip.

"I'll do it. Let me take his punishment." I said, trying hard not to show the fear inside me. She stood straight up and looked at me with a questioning expression. "Please." I said, bowing my head in submission to Verena. I could practically see the chilling smile on her face as he walked over to me.

"Top off and turn around." She whispers in my ear. Chills immediately went down my spin as she said those words. I closed my eyes as I undid my top and let it fall down in front of me, facing the wall. "Hands up." She says and then signals for the guards to cuff me to the wall.

Verena crack the whip next to me, making me flinch, which made her chuckle.

"Not so tough without your alpha, are you, slut?" Verena said before she whipped my back. I screamed in pain as she continued to whip.

I couldn't really make out the people and voices around me, but I knew for sure that Ukiyo and his father was there. I smelt him before I heard him.

"We can't let this happen father!" Ukiyo yelled.

"I don't make the rules, son. She must have done something to be punish like this. I'm sorry but my hands are tied right now." Ukiyo's father replies, trying to calm down Ukiyo.

The last thing I saw before I completely black out was Ukiyo holding me in his arms as he walked down the hallway.
