One, two, three.

Isa, dalawa, tatlo.

Hingang malalim.

To say that he looks beautiful is an understatement, he looks wonderful. I mean, he already is, even before but today is different because he looks ethereal. I take another big breath and balance myself as I walk towards him.

"I saw myself with someone before. I made plans with that person actually. We're in each other plans, in each other futures. But, well, I guess life has another plan for us."
I can see how he gulp a big lump in his throat and put on a smile before looking at me.
"I always search for him in the crowd, or on my bed as I wake up every morning. Sometimes I look for him in the streets or in some dessert shops. I guess you can say that I never stop looking for him, but then as the sun sets, I remember that he can't come back anymore."
Tears started to fall from his eyes and I want to dry them, and before I can even go to him, he started talking again.
"But I am praying, like always. Like how I never stop holding his hands when ha can't hold mine anymore. I never stop praying. That someday, or in another lifetime, maybe in another universe, that we will be given more than what we had in this lifetime . That I will be given another life to love him and be loved by him."
I stay rooted to where I am as he started to look at me straight in the eyes with tears flowing from it.
"Hin" isang ngiti ang ibinigay niya sa akin "pwede ka ng mag pahinga. Hindi man ngayon, pero magiging okay 'rin ako. Mahirap pero kakayanin ko. Kaya Hin, magpahinga ka na."

Ngumiti ako ng pagkalawak lawak dahil alam ko na totoo ang bawat salitang sinabi niya.

"This is not farewell love. It's just goodbye, see you soon."

Isa, dalawa, tatlo.

"Mahal kita" sabay naming wika habang nakapikit ang aming mga mata.

"Hanggang sa muli, mahal ko" bulong ko sa hangin na may kasamang hiling na sana ay kaniya itong marinig.

"Hanggang sa susunod na buhay natin" tila ba tugon niya sa akin.
