It had been a week since the Crown Prince Raiz had written to Y/N. A telegraph had been sent to the palace about her departure, and she was due to leave later that afternoon. As she was leaving at about 1:00pm, she would probably arrive at 6:00pm. All morning the only thing she could think about was the meeting. She didn't know the motives of the prince. They had only ever talked once, and it was rather brief.
They happened to have arrived at a dinner at the same time and he had asked her how she was. She then had responded and asked the same. His response was short yet polite, and she hadn't thought much of it. He had followed it by asking her what type of dessert was best, but she presumed he was just curious. As she thought about it, she remembered that he had looked as though he was going to ask her something more, but got cut off as they had to enter the dining room.
Y/N headed downstairs and she looked at the doorway in the foyer. Her bags were placed neatly there to be loaded in the carriage when it arrived. She anxiously glanced outside as she made her way to the the dining room. She walked into the dining room and sat down. She'd wait for her grandmother to come in before she asked to be served breakfast. Usually she got up earlier than her grandmother so she would eat earlier as well.
Her hands were folded on her lap. The soft silk of the green skirt of her dress comforted her slightly. The black and silver embroidery went down the length of the skirt and the detailed patterns made up vines, leaves, flowers, and birds. The bodice of the dress had a similar patten, however, it was much smaller in scale. She had a black coat that she would wear on the journey, although she doubted she'd actually need it in the early summer weather.
Soft footsteps broke her thoughts as her grandmother. entered. Y/N quickly rose from her seat and waited for her grandmother to sit down. Sitting back down Y/N glanced at her grandmother. Her grandmother met her gaze and began to speak.
"How was your morning, Y/N?" Her tone was slightly sadder than usual. She was obviously trying to hide it, but still Y/N noticed it.
"It's been going well so far, thank you. How has yours been so far?"
"It's been well." She paused "Dearest Y/N, you seem worried. You can tell me if anything is bothering you. I know it will be a major change to live at the palace and it shall be awfully quiet and lonely here. Are you concerned about the Prince?"
Y/N sighed. She was rather stressed about why the prince wanted to see her. She doubted it would be too big a deal though. She truly didn't want to deal with anything that was even the slightest bit personal to the royal family.
"Yes. I don't understand what he would want from me. It's all too much. I feel as though my time here has been cut short."
"You've spent fourteen years here, and you'll still come back to visit." her grandmother added. "I am sure that it won't be anything too personal. It rarely is. When I worked at the palace I noticed that usually these meetings involve something important for the family, but it includes everyone at the palace. I must admit it is suspicious that he said not to tell anyone of this meeting."
She smiled, before looking at Y/N's plate. "Now eat, you have to leave in three hours."

Y/N was walking around the house making sure she had everything she needed before she left. Entering the small room at the top of the house she went to the window. She peered outside and looked at the mountains that loomed over the town. As her (e/c) eyes scanned the surrounding fields, the housekeeper who went by the name of Pep entered the room.
