Dancing in the street [under major editing]

Chapter one

Makala's P.O.V.

"Dad I want candy" my bratty little sister,Tara, begged

"I said no candy before dinner" dad shot back

"Dad what's for dinner" I asked

"Burgers" dad answered

"Why can't we have McDonald's" Brian, my annoying little brother, asked

"Because dad is on a budget" I said

"Where's Ethan" I asked turning my attention back to dad

"Out with friends, he will be home in time for dinner" dad answered

"Okay" I said

-skip to next day at dance-

Sara ,my older sister, was taking me to dance today,like normal, when she got a call from someone. Since she was driving I answered it for her. It was a blocked number, but I answered it anyway. "I'm watching you" a deep voice said. It scared me to death so I hung up when Sara said "who was it."

"I don't know, but drive faster"

"What why"

"I'll explain when we get to dance!"

When we arrived at dance Sara asked me the same question "who was it?" But she said it more concerned.

"I don't know"

"Then why did you tell me to drive faster!"

"The voice in the phone said 'I'm watching you' so I got scared and hung up"

"Makala really!!"

"What did I do"

"That's how Ethan starts his calls to try and scare me"

"Oh sorry I gotta go into dance be back at around 9:00 don't forget"

"I will not forget"

I walked into dance 2 minutes early. Like I always say 'to be early is to be one time and to be on time is to be late.' So I walk in and see Chloe.

"Chloe" I shouted

"Makky" she shouted back

It was the first day back to dance and we hadn't seen each other in months which felt like years.

Two minutes later the whole junior team was there. Mrs. Gia came in and gave who was getting a solo, duet, and trio. We usual only do one group but this year we are doing two.

"We have a duet going to Makala and Chloe.You will be doing a lyrical number to we can only hope. We have five solos going to Makala you will be doing a jazz number to a little party never killed nobody.Katie you will be doing a jazz number to somthin' bad. Mandy you will be doing a tap number to the walker.Violet you will be doing a hip hop number to black widow. Maddie you will be doing a hip hop number to fireball. The trio is going to Sophia Katie and Jena. Your dance is to lips are movin, it's a sassy jazz number. The two group dances not every one is in. Since we have eight dancers half of you will be in a lyrical number called forever. The people in forever are Mandy Makala Violet and Chloe." Oh great a group number with my arch enemy Violet. I thought to myself."The other group dance will be a lyrical number called forever in a day. It will be with Maddie Sophia Jena and Katie"
