Babysitting

Today was the day I had to babysit, I was fixing up the house and baby-proofing everything. I had bought some little toys that she could play with since she was like 9 months old. Too bad Ariel was at her friends house, she loves babies. My dad had already went off to work, so the baby would be here soon. As I was fixing up the place the doorbell rang I went to answer it "hi I'm Anna you must be Accalia" she greeted me "yes I am" I replied "who is this little cutie?" I asked looking at the adorable baby "this is Amelia"she replied and handed the baby over to me. She started to play with my hair and I smiled at her "ok well I have to get going so I'll come pick her up around 4:00" Anna said and handed me the diaper bag, she kissed Amelia's cheek and went to her car "say bye to mommy" I said to her she took her little hand and waved bye. Anna blew a final kiss at her and drove off, I closed the door and stepped inside, I put the diaper bag on the couch and sat down placing Amelia on my lap "you're so cute" I said to her and kissed her cheek. She reached for one of the toys and I gave it to her. She started playing with it and giggled, I turned on the tv and put it on the Disney jr channel, it was giving the Mickey Mouse club house. When Minnie came on the screen she looked at the tv and started clapping and giggling, "I'm guessing Minnie is your favorite" I said to her and she babbled something back "well she's my favorite too" I said. I started to tickle her and she giggled and grabbed my nose "hey that's my nose!" I said and laughed, she just giggled and squeezed my nose. I nibbled on her fingers and she squealed and pulled her hand away. I put her down on the carpet and she tried to crawl towards the kitchen but I quickly grabbed her and placed her back in front of me "hey where do you think you're going missy?" I said and laughed ,she babbled something in return "hey no back talk" I said, she looked up at me and smiled. Then there was a knock at the door I picked Amelia up and went to answer it, when I opened it I saw Liam standing there and I let him in. "Hey" he said "who's this little sweetheart?" he asked "this is Amelia" I said " I'm babysitting for one of my dads co-workers", "can I hold her?" He asked "of course" I replied and handed her over to him. She started to play with his face and giggled "I think she likes you" I said and smiled, he sat on the couch and played with her for a while, then Amelia started to get fussy and started crying a bit "she must be hungry" I said I took her into the kitchen and made her a bottle of milk. After I finished making the bottle I went back into the living room and fed it to her, I sat on the couch and slowly rocked her in my arms. She slowly began to drift off to sleep, when she finally fell asleep I put the bottle on the coffee table and headed up stairs. I put her down on the bed in the guest room and put pillows around her as a barrier and placed a little blanket over her. I went into my room to get a new shirt because I spilled milk on it. When I changed my shirt I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist "you're really good at this " Liam said and kissed my cheek "yeah I know" I said and smiled. I turned around so we were face to face and his arms were still around my waist "can I get a kiss?" he asked and puckered his lips "hmm noopee" I said and smiled "why nawt" he said in a baby voice and pouted "because I don't want to" I replied in the same baby voice "but I want a kiss" he whined and nuzzled he face into my neck, "I'm hungry" Liam whined I laughed and said "what do you want to eat?" I asked him "umm Mac&Cheese" he replied and smiled at me like a child "okay" I said. I went into the cabinet and pulled out a box of crafts Mac&Cheese, then I got the pot and put the water in it and put it on the stove. As I was making the food I heard something upstairs "hey babe can you go check on the baby for me please?" I asked him "sure" he replied and went upstairs. As I was putting the food on the plate Liam came downstairs with a very fussy Amelia, I took her from his arms and bounced her in my arms "hey what's the matter pretty lady" I cooed " the foods on the table" I said to Liam. I went to couch and sat down with Amelia on my lap, Liam came in and turned on the tv and ate his food, I smiled at him " he is a very silly boy" I said to Amelia and laughed "hey! I heard that" Liam said, I giggled and so did Amelia. Just then Liam got a phone call he answered it and went into the kitchen, a couple minutes later he came back "hey babe I gotta go I have to meet up with mason for something important" he said I stood up with Amelia in my arms "ok, I'll see you to tomorrow" I replied' he kissed my lips and Amelia's forehead and walked out the door. "Well it's just me and you little mama" I said to her, "hmm your mommy's gunna be her soon lets get you cleaned up" I said and grabbed the diaper bag and headed up stairs. I set the bag on the bed and went into the bathroom, I turned on the water and waited until it was warm. I started to take her clothes off, then I placed her in the water, I took the soap and started to soap her body with a washcloth, I got her back, her legs, her tummy,  and behind her ears. After I was done I rinsed her clean, then I took the towel and wrapped it around her and carried her into the room. I dried her off and lotioned her body with baby lotion, then I put some baby powder on her and put her diaper on, then I put her clothes on. Then I gathered all the things and headed down stairs, I sat down on the couch and put her in my lap, I pulled out my phone and said "say cheese", she giggled and I took the picture. The door bell then rang, "that must be your mommy" I said to her she squealed in excitement, I got up and answered the door to be greeted by Anna "hi baby" she said and smiled when she saw Amelia, she giggled and I handed her over to her mom "thank you for babysitting" she said "no problem" I said handing over the diaper bag "bye bye" I said to Amelia, she waved at me and they headed to the car. I closed the door and headed up stairs, I changed into some comfortable clothes and laid down on my bed, I closed my eyes and instantly fell asleep.
