A week later

Michiru Kairo layed her head lightly on my right shoulder. Her sea blue hair looked glossier than usual with the lights of Tokyo reflecting on it. We were in my red Supra, staring at a view of. Loud, rambunctious Tokyo on top of one of Japan's hills at night.

 Dreamily she said "Haruka."

"Mm?" I responded.

"Isn't the city so overwhelming, even from far away?"

I snort and scoff  "It'd be nicer if there were more people worth racing against."  She smirks and pokes my cheek with her thumb.

I started thinking about this other vehicle I saw on a commercial, until Michiru says "Eh?"

"What?" I asked.

But then I saw it too. There was a white dot at just above a mall sign, that was floating downwards. I didn't trust attention grabbing things. So I hit the pedal and drove us towards Tokyo to see what the threat might be.
