I pour the hot water from the kettle into an empty mug, adding Coffee into it. Stirring the mix together and placing it directly in front of Jughead. He sits there with Red, Puffy eyes from his moment earlier. I make another cup of Coffee up for myself, proceeding to sit down next to him.

We sit in silence, but no an awkward silence, a comfortable silence. Us just enjoying each others presence for the first time in too long. I break the silence.

"You doing okay?" I stroke his shoulder with my thumb gently, leaning my head to have a clear view of his face.

"Can we just not speak of that please?" His eyes meet mine for a brief second before looking down at his hands.

"Alright" I remove my hand from his shoulder, picking up my Coffee "Just trying to help"

I take a sip from my mug, the hot liquid burns the tip of my tongue, causing me to jump slightly in my spot with a not so pretty facial expression. Jughead chuckles for a split second before going on as if he hadn't noticed, trying to keep up his old 'Tough Guy Act'.

Little does he know I can see right through that pea brained skull of his. Or maybe he's just playing Psychological games, trying to trick me into his nonsense. Nah, like I said he's a Pea Brain and will always be a pea brain, at least to me.

"You know I want you" Jughead peers over at me, my face turning into a mix of confusion and shock "It's not a secret, in fact it's quite obvious, but I fear for I might hurt you again"

Silence. That's all I can give him. I continuously attempt to speak but I can't seem to form a sentence.

"I'm messed up Veronica" he puts down his mug, turning his head to look at me.

"We are all messed up Jughead and honestly - you less than most" his eyes shift to the counter than back up to me, spinning his legs to turn his body facing me.

"Anyways, We could've been messed up together" I release an awkward laugh, reaching my hand into my hair.

~Later the next day~

"I'm so glad you guys agreed to join Archie and I, the Cooper Lodge is just what we need" Betty smiles at Jughead and I, signalling for Archie to carry our bags.

"Didn't really seem all that much of an option" Jughead mumbles to himself while looking down to his feet, I nudge his arm.

"Be grateful you have friends to take you places" I narrow my eyes at him as the four of us walk inside of the rather large house.

My mouth widens in sunrise as I admire the detailed architectural designs. The place is very open and well decorated, classic with a touch of modern. Exactly to my liking.

"Archie, would you please carry our bags to the bedroom up the stairs on the left" Betty pats him lightly on the back, he nods and proceeds to climb the stairs "Oh right, your bedroom is on the right of ours"

"Who's room is?" I raise an eyebrow in question.

"Yours - like both of you" she talks in a manner as if she expected us to know this already "It's not an issue that you're sharing is it?"

Jughead and I both look at each other for a brief second, turning back to Betty.

"No, of course not" Jughead laughs it off, frowning slightly once he turns away from Betty.

We make our way up the stairs and into our room.

~After unpacking~

"You take the bed, I'll take the couch" Jughead and I say in unison, causing us to chuckle.

"You sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the floor if you don't take the bed" Jughead places his beanie on top of the dresser, looking into the mirror and combing his hair. An odd sight of all to see.

"Fine but don't complain later when I'm enjoying my nice comfortable bed and you're on that sad couch" I climb on to the large bed and run my hand over the layers of soft blankets.

"I don't ever complain" He turns his head to me with a smirk on his face.

"If only that were true Jones" I sigh with sarcasm, returning a similar smirk.

There remains a silence between us for a little while before the sound of a bed squeaking continuously interrupts it. I look over at Jughead with my jaw dropped, his smirk grows by the second before we both laugh.

"How Betty hasn't had ten kids yet is insane" Jughead points at the wall between the two bedrooms, struggling to speak between his laughter.

"That's disgusting Jughead" I shake my head in disgust at the thought "They use protection - I hope"
