"Yah! Who the f*ck are you?", I yell, clearly annoyed at the computer screen in front of me which shows me the details of another failed attack to break into our internal network in order to steal confidential information. This is the ninth attack of the month, and the fact that I am not able to trace them out was frustrating me. Even though we have made our network hack-proof, doesn't mean it will always remain the same. I need to find the people behind these attacks.

As I was lost in my chain of thoughts, my phone's custom notification tune for my best friend Jungkook brought me back. Yes, I use different notification tunes for different people for ease, uhm, well, I have a hard time dealing with crap people to this is the solution I found for that.
'Where the f*ck are you Dae?', the message read.
'Will be there in a minute', I replied. I forgot that it was lunch time already. I and Kook have lunch together at the office, that is the only break we get. I decided to tell him about the attacks. I exited my cabin and walked out of the block towards the central building where the cafeteria is.

As soon as I entered the cafeteria, I found Jungkook looking at his mobile at our usual seat, that was the farthest one, with two trays. I walked towards him and sat down on the opposite side.

" What took you so long today?", he asked, and we started eating.
"You know what, something strange is going on...." I said, and continued eating.
"Like what?"
"There have been multiple attacks on our network Kook, nine, to be precise, that too in this month. Each attack will be stronger than its previous one, and I got no idea where these all are coming from" I ended with a sigh.
"Well I know they can't take down our system as long as you are there", Jungkook said with a smile.
"We never know Kook"
"Well, I have been noticing things too", he said, looking at me.
"Like what?"
"Something strange Dae, like something is going on. H.O.D. looks so stressed these days, the surveillance teams are always on duty somewhere or other, all of the trainees are being trained harder, and there is always a meeting going on with the higher-ups. And now that you have mentioned the attacks, I feel like I was not overthinking.", he finished. I hummed in response.
As soon as we finished eating, an office staff came up to us.
" The HOD has asked too see Officer Jeon and Officer Lee right now", he said.
I and Jungkook exchanged glances and followed him to the HOD's office.

I confirmed and reconfirmed the address provided to me with the house in front of me. It was a clever move from the person's side, whom I was supposed to meet as per my Senior's instruction, since all the houses of this colony looked identical and it was impossible to get to him without a clear address. All I knew about this person was that his name is Kim Taehyung and he will be working with me. I decided to ring the doorbell.

After a few seconds, I sensed someone looking from inside through the peephole. As I was already sensitive to most senses, being in the military only boosted those and that has provided me with various advantages on my missions. It was difficult to ambush me whereas I can be as sneaky as a cat.
The door opened revealing a male with a blank expression, probably in his early twenties, looking straight into my eyes. I felt him observe every inch of me for a few seconds before that happened.
He smiled.
"You must be Min Yoongi. Please come in.", he said, and I was surprised by his deep voice as I never expected it. I entered his home and he motioned for me to take a seat on the sofa in the living room.
"I am Kim Taehyung, you must already know my name, and nice to meet you", he said with a smile.
"Yes, I know your 'name', and nice to meet you too. So, what is the mission?" I asked, eager to know about the mission about which almost nothing was told to me.
"I do not know it myself. We have been asked to report to the NSC Headquarters as soon as we are ready to brief us about our mission and team"
"Lets go then", I say. We stand up and drive towards to the NSC HQ in Taehyung's car. I start a small talk."So what do you do? I mean, your occupation~"
"I am a detective and a spy. Most of the time I work for private clients but the NSC also hires me for some of their important missions." he said. "Oh, Okay.", I replied to him, taking in the new information. It makes sense to me now, I mean, his residence and the way he was observing me earlier.
"Even though I want to reciprocate your feelings and ask you the same question, I know that you are Min Yoongi, Sergeant in the Military, 27 years old from Daegu, family consists of parents and an elder brother.", he said and I had to mask my surprised expression.
"I just got assured of the authenticity of your occupation", I said and we shared a chuckle, and continued the small talk on our way to the HQ.
