"I actually started out making music... I don't know if anyone know this, it's a very little known fact, I started out in country music. Did anyone know that? It's my favorite thing to write song and then they go out into the world and I'm really lucky that you guys are nice enough to then care about those words that I have been written. Sing the words back to me is legitimately the coolest thing in the world. Anyone who has been singing the words to this is like 'yes. Thank you. It's awesome.' When I was 17 I ended up writing this song in my room when I was just by myself and you really never know what's gonna happen in life I really had no clue that that song was gonna go out into the world and completely change my life. But it did and I thought we might play that song. It's about Romeo and Juliet and how I kinda thought what if they have had a different ending to the story? "

During the song I keep looking up to check if Joe enjoys the show. It means so much to me that he's here tonight to support me. I can spot him grinning at me which is honestly so cute. I know Gigi and her friends are also here which is great because I haven't seen her in a long time. I'm looking forward to chat with her after the show.
At the end when I'm singing 'We were both young when I first saw you', I point right to Joe because we were, in fact, both young when I first saw him. It will be 3 years this year which means I was 26 when we met and I'm about to be 30 this year. It feel like we've been together forever. I also point to my fans cause I was really really really young when I 'met' them. Like some of them supported me and been by my side since I've started 13 years ago.
After Love Story I put out my guitar. I know that the fans are always so thrilled when I play the guitar so I decided to play an acoustic version of Welcome to New York as we are in New York. I've never done an acoustic version of this song before. I hope they like it.
