The end ?

After about three days we packed up camp and began the long journey to find a satellite powerful enough to boost The banshee twins hearing.

I walked at the back of the group as I was still a bit disorientated from my experience. I was still confused about why Shelly had tried to run off with me. I wasn't exactly able to escape so why was she so desperate to get me away from them. I mean I had never seen her before but apparently she knew who i was. She knew more about me than I did. In fact, she even told me that my birthday was in just over a week. I didn't have the foggiest idea when it was. Noone did.

I kept tripping over my own feet as we walked past the shy river (Apparently that's what it is called as it only flows for a few days at a time before going dry and restarting.) I was not quite myself.

All of a sudden I got a feeling we were being watched. I hollered over to Josh and Sammy and we huddled around Shelly so as to protect her. Then someone dropped from a tree. It was a boy. His eyes were cold and his hands were in a position similar to as if he was going to blast something from his hands. A purple mist clouded his hands and without warning, he blasted Sammy. She was thrown 20 feet into the air and she fell to the ground unconscious. Josh ran to her side and tried to wake her. The boy just smiled. I looked back and shelly had run to help Sammy.

I stared down the boy. He stared back at me and smiled. Without thinking I burst out in rage and a purple fire consumed me. I began to unwillingly shoot blasts of what looked like shards of space at him. He dodged most of them but one went straight through his hand. He stared at me and pulled it out as if it was nothing. He created a portal beneath me and dropped me 50 feet. I used another portal to catch myself. We squared off and used all of our might to kill each other. I refused to back down. Not ever. I threw blackholes at him but he just as easily sent them away. I was forced into hand to hand combat. I was never very good at this so he landed a lot of blows. My fist lit up purple again and I used the last of my strength to knock him out. The blow was more powerful than I anticipated and he crumpled to the ground. I went over to where he landed to make sure he was down. I knelt beside him. He was going cold.No.Did I? No, no. Oh, why am I kidding myself I murdered him?

I crept away and sobbed. He is the first person i ever intentionally killed. His lifeless corpse lay just across from me.

I went back to him and placed my hand on his chest. As I did it was agony. As if I was stuck breathing the same breath over and over. Being dead yet still suffering. My insides were being burnt down to nothing. I was there silent. Incapable of life or death.Seeing time stop. An eternity passed.

Life rushed back into me and I fell to the floor.At least I thought I did. Shelly was by my side trying to do CPR. Thank goodness or I might as well be dead.Tears were pouring down her face as she kept pushing on my chest. She saw my eyes open and she pulled me to her chest as she continued to cry.I didn't move so as to let her embrace me. Josh and Sammy began to hug me too.they were all so glad I was alive.

I must admit why can't I go one week without nearly dying. I mean come on. Why is the world against me? What did I do to deserve this?

I had to peel the others off of me to go back to the boy. He was their lifeless. He did not need to die. I looked in his jacket pocket and he had a phone. Luckily it didn't have a pin so I unlocked it and went straight to his photos. He had so many with this young girl. She must have been his sister. They looked so happy. Sammy came over to look at them as well. She looked so happy to know he had a family. One that really loved him. One of the photos showed him blowing out candles on a birthday cake that said his name.Thomas.I looked at his most recent addition and it was a video.

Thomas screamed "GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME! I did not agree to this." The lady hit him in the neck and the boy's arm went limp he was so shocked he stopped struggling and the lady injected him with the serum. The boy grabbed his phone and you see the ground so he must have been running. Then he picks it up to his face and we see his eyes go black. He ends the video.
