Todays the last day. The last day I'm going to be in this nightmare.
I look down at my bed and go over all my supplies to make sure I have everything.
A spare change of clothes, toiletries, money, my earbuds along with my phone charger and phone, snacks, my water bottle, and a blanket. Everything is here.
I grab my fairly large backpack and empty all my school stuff out of it so I can change it to my other things.
When it's packed I hide it under my bed . Now we wait til dark. I plan on going at 1 am.
"Y/n if you haven't forgotten there are dishes that need to be done" I look at my step dad. "Sorry I forgot" I say quickly and try to walk past him but he grabs my wrist.
"You didn't forget you are just lazy and ungrateful and it's pathetic" he lets go of my hand and I just go downstairs. At least that wasn't the worst thing he's done.
I start on the dishes and I hear yelling. "YOUR SUCH A SLUT" of course it's my stepdad yelling at my mom... again.
He treats her like shit but she chooses to stay with him because they're 'in love' which is probably just a bullshit excuse she used to divorce my dad.
My dad left after the divorce ten years ago. I begged him to take me with him but he didn't care. Didn't even fight to see me. He left me here with a shitty mom and an abusive step dad.
I hate it here. I hate not knowing when he's gonna come in my room and touch me. I hate not knowing when he's going to hit me. I hate him.
My mom just let's it happen. She doesn't care.
I can't wait to get out of here. I don't know where I'm going to go, but I refuse to stay here any longer. I just can't do it.
I finish the dishes and clean up the rest of the kitchen. I start walking back to my room. Suddenly I feel a pair of hands grab onto me. "Good girl" I push away and go into my room.
My legs give out and I break down crying. He makes me feel disgusting and I hate it.
