Chapter 2

~Timeskip (Ten Days Later)~

I've gone ten straight days without a mission. I guess this might have been either a coincidence or just lucky.

"CAW CAW! ANNOUNCEMENT!"

Oh great. Here we go again with the bird.

"Yuki Akihara! Report to headquarters for a special event! Asap!"

A special event? I've never had an invitation to a special event before.

~2 Hours Later~

I arrived at headquarters. No other swordsman was here except for the Hashira. I noticed the Flame Hashira. It was someone else this time. He looked familiar to the one from years ago. He must be his son or something.

"I guess you must be the ice user,"

I looked next to me and I saw the water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka.

"Well, yes. I'm Yuki Akihara by the way," I replied.

"The master of the mansion called you here for special means. Saying that you've fought one of the Upper Moons ten days ago," I looked at my other side and I saw the insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho.

The master, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, arrived. Every Hashira and me bowed down.

"Yuki Akihara," he said. I looked up at him.

"Yes, sir?" I said.

"I heard from my crow that you fought an upper ranked demon and didn't give up. Although they ran away because the sun was rising, I'm quite impressed. I'll give you the pleasure of giving you the opportunity to become the Ice Hashira," he said.

I was surprised at what he said. I never thought about becoming a Hashira until now.

"How many demons have you killed so far?" He asked.

"20," I said.

"To become a Hashira, you can kill at least thirty more or kill a member of the Twelve Kizuki. Those are two methods," he said.

"Okay. I'll kill at least thirty more," I said.

~Timeskip (3 Months and 3 Weeks Later)~

It took three months and three weeks but I managed to kill 63 more demons, meaning I killed 83 in total. I arrived back at headquarters where the Hashira and the master were already there.

"Sir, I did it. I managed to kill 63 demons," I said as I bowed down along with the Hashira.

"Well done, Yuki. You've officially became the Ice Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps," He said.

I was somewhat thrilled to become a Hashira.
