A loud screeching noise pulls me out of my thoughts. I look up thoughtfully, a blue telephone box materializing in front of our flat.

I hear John stomp out of his room. Partially listening to what he is yelling at me for waking him up so early. I was more focused on the strange man coming out of the smoking box.

"Doctor?" A female voice yells. "What the hell?" John says, peering out the window as I practically fly down the stairs. "Where are we now?" A woman protrudes from the smoking box, waving a hand in front of her face.

I slam out the door with John quickly follows me outside. I quickly make deductions. A phone box, high technology, doesn't have a medical degree, man is older then appe... I get pulled out of my trance when I hear John and the man called "Doctor" start talking.

"Who are you supposed to be.." The 'Doctor' says, circling around us, the woman in tow. "My name Is Sherlock Holmes... This is my friend... John Watson." I say slowly, watching the man inspecting us. The woman gasps. "Sherlock Holmes?" She asks.

I look at the woman with distaste, but before I can reply with a witty answer John replys with a simple "Yes." I add on, "Why does it consern you? And might we know who you both are?"

"My name, is the doctor." The man says with a small smile, fixing his bow tie. "And I'm Amy." The ginger states, adjusting her odd looking jacket. "Amy? Is that short for something?" John asks. "Yes... It's short for Amelia." She says, giving the doctor a look.

I ask 'The Doctor', "Where are you from?" The strange pair share an uncomfortable look before I add on, curiosity laced in my words "You have a strange accent, and you appeared out of nowhere. What are you?"

"Uhh..." The ginger starts, the doctor cutting her off. "Here let me just show you." He then pushes open the doors of the police box, motioning us forward. I give John a look as I enter the small box. Well, I thought it was small. My mind is flooded with theories and questions as I look around the large box. My mouth opens I'm surprise. "John..." I call out.

As I look around trying to fuigure out how it works I hear John gasp. "H-how?" He walks back out and walks back in, "Its bigger on the inside!" John exclaims loudly. I mutter "This shouldn't be possible. There is more mass on the inside then outside."

"But it is possible!" The Doctor says excitingly, flipping a couple switches on the big console in the middle of the room. "TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. It can take you back in time. Forward in time. It can take you anywhere. What do you say, where do you want to go?" He flips another switch. "The Whatis?" John asks, baffled.

"The TARDIS of course! What else were we talking about!" The doctor yells. I look over at Amy when I hear her sigh. I say to her, "Shouldnt you be getting ready for your wedding tomorrow, or do you not really love him? " She looks at me with shock before responding "How the hell did you know?!"

"Your wedding ring, very nice, but kind of cheap. Yours nails, manicured. Girls like you wouldn't get a manicure unless something important was going to happen. Your hai-." She cuts me off. "Girls like me? What the hell does that mean?" She bellows as the loud screeching sound returns, the TARDIS tilting. I'm flung backwards, smacking into John.

As the spinning comes to a halt I stand up smoothly before helping John up. "Girls like you. You are obviously a kissogram or somthing along thoes lines. Also by looking at his," I point at the doctor. "Shoes you can tell they have been worn down by running frequently. You on the other hand are wearing heels." I say to her.

She gives the doctor a smirk. "We've picked up a smart one this time." I scoff and straighten my coat. "I am not smart you are jus-." "Sherlock." John scowls, narrowing his eyes at me. "Sorry, sorry." I mutter. "Where are we anyways?" I ask. "Why don't you go take a look." The doctor smiles brightly, flipping the last switch before jogging over to the doors. He pushes it open, revealing a beautiful sight. "Believe in astronomy now sherlock?" John breaths, staring out into the dark abyss. Stars and planets, everywhere.

I sigh before replying, "I have always believed in, but I still see no point in why its important, John." I hear Amy groan when she hears this and mutters, "Oh no here comes a big rant." The doctor turns around sharply when he hears these words. "HOW ARE PLANETS NOT IMPORTAN-" The doctor starts. I interrupt by saying to the man, "You never did tell us what you are Doctor."

He stops, his face going pale slightly. His back straightens up and he runs a hand through his hair. "I am a timelord. The very last one. I am from the planet Gallifrey and have two hearts. I'm more than 900 years old. I've had more then 10 faces." He speaks slow, his face softening with every word. "I've lost many people dear to me. I've seen alien races fall and be born. My worst enemy are the Daleks." I look over at John, his face holding a look of surprise. "Your an alien?" He laughs, looking over at me. "Yes. I am an alien and I've been keeping your planet safe for many, MANY years."

"Why? Out of all the planets why Earth?" I ask the doctor. He smiles, "I chose Earth because I've seen the start of time and the very end. Humans by far have impressed me the most. You have started off with nothing and soon you will be doing what was once thought impossible. How could I not chose you?"

I give him a small nod, no words exchanged. The doctor perks up. "Shall we go on an adventure then?"
