One boy. One girl.

The boy watched the girl gracefully leave. He watched the curls on the back of her head bounce. Red. Orange. Yellow.

The girl walked away without looking back. She already knew he was watching her. Watching her curls bounce.

Nobody knew of the affair, only the girl and the boy.

One boy. One girl.

After six years of dating, he finally proposed. When she said yes, she jumped up and down with excitement. And he watched the curls bounce. Red. Orange. Yellow.

She was excited to plan the wedding. She knew the three colors that would go in it: Red, Orange, Yellow.

One boy. One girl.

He watched the curls bounce as she walked gracefully down the aisle. Red. Orange. Yellow.

Nothing could be more perfect her her. She saw strands of hair fall into her face. They were red, orange, and yellow.

One boy.

He was heading to her funeral. He placed the flowers in her now lifeless hands. Flowers that were red. Flowers that were orange. Flowers that were yellow.
