Everything was the same, nothing was ever different. It's tiring really, the same parties, same people, same hook ups. It's like this town lives in a continuous loop and nobody realizes it except me. You wake up, go to school, there's a fight about some girl, then you go home, don't do the homework, then get rip roaring drunk at a party, and repeat. There's no fun, spontaneous decisions, nothing exciting. It's horrible but nobody cares, it drives me crazy. I hate it.

I'm staring at my ceiling from another sleepless night, I can't seem to calm down enough to actually sleep. My alarm goes off to staring getting ready. I reach my hand out and slam it down on the clock. Sighing, I get out of bed making my way towards my closet. " Adam! Honey, are you up" my mothers yells from down stairs, I roll my eyes for she says the same. damn. thing. every day. Choosing to ignore her, I throw on a pair of grey sweat pants and a black hoodie. Unlike everyone in my school I don't dress like I'm going to a movie premier or a quick fuck.

I exit my room and heading down the hall towards the bathroom. But before I could actually step in the bathroom, my idiotic brother comes running towards it full speed, slamming the door in my face. I resist the urge to break down the door and shove his head in the toilet. " Watch yourself Grays, or one day your over gelled hair will be in toilet" I warned, I heard him scoff from the other side of the door. He cracks it open to put his head out " It's not 'over gelled' it's called style" he stated, before looking down at my outfit " You should learn it" but slammed the door when I went to grab him. " Fucking asshole" I muttered going down the stairs.

I sat in the stool that's placed under the island, I watch my mother running around packing Grays' lunch. Her shift started in 10 minutes " Mom, I got it. Go, before you're late" I stood from the stool, shooing my mother away from the lunch and begin packing it. " Thanks, Baby" she kissed my temple, rushing towards the door and grabbing her bag. " I'll be back around eleven tonight. Make sure Grays in bed by ten, no later" she pointed her finger at me, for Grays and I have a tendency to stay up to late watching The Office. " Bye Grays!" she shouts up the stairs, she waved to me blowing a kiss and heading out the door.

A couple seconds after the front door shut, the bathroom door opened, and Grays sticks his head around the corner, " Did mom leave" glancing around the room in search for her. " That's why she said " Bye Grays" to you" my voice was irritated and annoyed at how my brother could be so stupid at times. " Why" I asked, putting his sandwich in the bag, looking up at him. " No reason" he shrugged and went don the stairs. I tossed him an apple, which he caught and sat in the same sit I was in before. I finished packing his lunch, handing it to him. " We're leaving in ten. So if you want to drown your hair even more hurry up" he stuck his tongue out at me before mocking me under his breath. He went towards the door and pulled on his shoes, sliding them over his Puma socks. I grabbed my keys off the counter and went towards the door. " Ready?" I looked down at him, watching him rise up and smiling. " Yeah!" He marched out the door pushing past me. I rolled my eyes and locked the door behind me.

The ride to school consisted of Grays screaming the lyrics to ' Call me maybe' and playing it on full blast. He may be a freshmen boy but at heart he's a seven year old boy. " YOUR STARE WAS HOLDING. RIPPED JEANS SKIN WAS SHOWN'" his off key voice was ringing in my ears, he looked at me and smiled before I screamed " HOT NIGHT, WIND WAS BLOWIN' WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING, BABY" we burst out the next lyrics " HEY, I JUST MET YOU AND THIS IS CRAZY BUT HERE'S MY NUMBER AND CALL ME, MAYBE" Once we pulled near the school he stopped singing and changed the music to hard rock. I chuckled at him and at his lame actions for being 'cool' " Aye, I was listening to that" I joked, trying to get on his nerves, he looked at me and smacked his hand against this forehead. " Adam, Bro, You're a senior and not to mention the school's biggest jock and you want to drive in to school listening to call me maybe" his tone and voice sound like he was trying to let me down easy. I was about to say I was joking but decided to drop it and leave. " I'm just trying to help you, Bro" he called, and flipped him off. I could hear him laughing in the back round as I headed towards the front of the school.

Everyone was silent in the halls which is weird cause usual people don't shut the hell up. Everyone was looking behind me so I turned around and was faced with a tiny girl, she had beautiful black hair, and almost white eyes they were such a light shade of blue. She had freckles lining across her nose and under her eyes. Her thick lashes were long and dark making her eyes look even lighter. She had a smile spread across her face, showing off her white shiny teeth. " Can you tell me where the office is" her voice was soft and gently, her eyes were sparkling with kindness. I could feel the heated looks of everyone in the hallway. Because as awful as it sounds if it was anyone else I probably would've told them to fuck off. But there was something about her, she seemed so different and genuine. She raised her eyebrow at me, probably confused why I didn't answer yet. " Uh y-yeah" I managed to get out. " I'll show you" I smiled, she smiled back and went besides me. Her small figure looked so tiny next to my large one, and could so easily fit in my arms.

We walked through the halls with everyone staring at us, I could tell she was uncomfortable by the way she was looking around. " Do people usual do this" she whispered, looking around. I glanced down at her, her expression was kinda worried and uneasy. " No, it's just you're with a pretty cool dude" I said, motioning around us, she let out a small laughed and raised her eyebrow playfully " Oh, really" she asked, I nodded my head with a goofy smile. She laughed out loud this time, and I swear her laugh was music to my ears. I wanted to be the one to make her laugh, and I wanted to hear it every day. " Well maybe because I'm here" she said, pointing to herself " I'm kinda amazing" I laughed at her confidence. " Right" she asked out loud to the people staring, they didn't say anything just looked at her like she was crazy. " Told ya" she bragged, flipping her hair over her shoulder. " Oh yeah, they love you" sarcasm was dripping from my voice.

We reached the office and stood before the door. " Thank you" she smiled, clutching her bag's strap on her shoulder. I could tell I made her nervous. She would bite her lip or play with her hair. " Anytime, really. I'm free." I smiled, I waved and began to walk away. " Bye" I heard her say before I rounded the corner. I know, I know kinda a dick mood but I didn't want to seem desperate, plus I have class.
