"Tough times don't last, tough people do, remember?"

― Gregory Peck

==================================================================

I went out of the tent careful not to wake James. I started to walk around the camp trying to get rid of the dream. Yet,it's still in my head no matter what I do. Sighing I sat down on the porch of Hershel's house.

Bang!

A gunshot rang clearly through the clearing. I quickly stood up and ran to the source of the gunshot with a million of questions running through my head. What happened? Did someone get hurt? Is it a walker?

I saw Rick,Shane and Glenn running through the clearing. Rick and Shane were carrying someone in their arms but it's too far to say who is it. I started to run towards them and Carl ran beside me eager to get to his dad,Rick. I ran towards them and my eyes widened in realization as I saw who was in their arms. It was Daryl. I screamed.

"What happened to my dad?!"

Glenn looked shocked for a moment before speaking. "Andrea accidentally shot him with her gun. It just grazed him though."

I nodded and followed them to Hershel's house. They settled Daryl on the bed and let Hershel do his work.

I stayed outside the door waiting nervously for Hershel to come out. He came out and said "he's gonna be ok just a couple of stitches." I nodded in relief. "Thanks Hershel."

He smiled and nodded. "But don't go in first,he's gonna need rest."

I nodded and went down where I ran into Andrea. She looked stressed out and apologetic. Her eyes widened when she saw me. "Is he ok?" She asked hesitantly.

I nodded. "The bullet grazed him. He was very lucky and listen Andrea..I know you did not mean to shoot him because you taught he was a walker. I forgive you for that."

She sighed smiling in relief. "But if that bullet actually killed him....you'll be dead too." I said.

She nodded quickly and left. I sighed and sat down on the sofa.

This was a stressful day. Then Carl sat down beside me. "I'm sorry about Daryl,I guess he's your dad now right?"

I nodded unwilling to reply since he called me a bitch the first day I got here.

"I gotta go.." I mumbled as I stood up and walked out the room and the last thing I heard from him was a sigh.

I wonder if he's filling guilty for what he said to me..

Probably not..

But expect the unexpected right?

Carl's POV

Sighing I watched as she left. I'm feeling really guilty about what I said to her on the first day that she came here. I guess all the emotions I held in just came. How do I even apologize to her?

Florence's POV

It was dinner time and Lori,Andrea and Carol prepared dinner for the Greene's (Hershel's Family) to show our gratitude to everything they've done.

I was feeling guilty of not helping when they saved our lives.

"Hey Carol, sorry for not helping in cooking. Is there anything I can do to help? I can set the table if you want." I said.

She smiled. "Sure Florence."

I proceeded to set the table. Then Carl came up behind me. "Let me help." He said, his breath going to my neck sending shivers but I don't know whether good or bad.
