Amaylea moved along the streets as Micheal began to chat away about how didn’t understand how she could possibly be beside him, perhaps she should tell him more and honestly she had the authorization to tell him now. It wasn’t an issue and honestly all the clearance she had from the Guardian Authorities was astounding. She didn’t understand how she was able to have so much clearance, but she took what she could. She slowly looked over at Micheal and smiled softly, “Micheal, would you mind if I told you something?”
“Anything. What would you want to tell me?”
“I’m afraid, I’d rather not do it in public if that’s alright?”
“Oh yeah, I wanted to show you something anyways.” He took her hand and her eyes widened as he lead her down a small alley and in a small wooded area where he kept walking till they reached a clearing. He walked over to a small log and sat down on it tapping the seat next to him. “I used to come here all the time as a kid, but as I grew up I kinda realized that I didn’t find the time to come and just sit here.” Amaylea nodded, already knowing this for herself, and walked over to him to sit next to him. She pushed some dirt off the log, which resulted in Micheal giving a small laugh. “What did you want to tell me?” He stated as he looked over at her, giving his full attention.
She ran through all the possible ways to say it, but honestly she didn’t have the slightest idea what to do in that simple moment. To tell him everything would therefore, not only jeopardize her job, but also how Micheal would view her. Granted, she wasn’t evil or something of that sort, but she wasn’t necessarily accessible either. He could possibly think she was crazy, but to tell him everything was definitely something that he deserved. “Micheal, honestly, it isn’t too simple.”
“I don’t believe my life has ever been that simple, Amaylea.” He stated back making her nod.
“Yes, of course. It’s a long story though, so bare with me I suppose.” He looked at her with a confusing look. “Do you believe in… Guardian Angels?” Micheal thought through the possibilities and then looked at her. He shrugged with a nod as he held his composure.
“I guess they could be logical, I mean I know I have one.” He said simply as he looked forward once more.
“What? How?” Amaylea said trying to possibly think how he could have known she existed before his accident and when he was able to see her.
“Just, things that have happened in my life. I know I have to have one or else I wouldn’t be alive today.” He looked down at the scratches and scars on his body. “I deserve to be dead, but some angel decided I deserved another chance.”
“That’s because you do, Micheal.” She said looking at him, “That’s why I’m here.”
Micheal looked over at her with a puzzled look as he thought through it. “What? Are you saying you’re my guardian angel?”
“Yes, and the second you believe that the second everything will make sense.” It was the secret of Guardians. If your Guarded believed in you with their full heart then they were able to have a dream where all of it was explained, everything he had ever questioned would be answered, but Amaylea couldn’t let him sleep. She just couldn’t. Micheal looked at her quizzically as he tried to cipher through just what she was saying.
“Lea, why is this so important right now?” He questioned as he came closer to her.
“Micheal, I would tell you if I could. You need to know that.”
