Once we had all sat down, the room became very silent. Eery, almost. Nobody was making a sound, not even a breath loud enough to hear. The head master rose from his seat, his hands solidly pressed against the table beneath him.

"If this is your first year here, I'm Mr. Dagwood. Head master and long time family owner." He introduced, his finger pressed firmly into his own chest. He gently placed his hand back down as maidens began filling the room, serving food onto each plate.

"Here, there are only a few rules you must follow. It isn't much, we barely ask from you. Respect your professors, wear your uniforms and don't be tardy to any important events that you've been warned about." he demanded in a stern tone, completely ignoring the loud clanking noises of the utensils serving food.

"Is that clear?" He asked and every body in the room chanted a silent, "yes sir."

He smiled contentedly before taking his seat again. "Now, let's say grace." all of us joined hands. I closed my eyes, my fingers wrapped around Louise's and some other girl I didn't know when Mr. Dagwood began to recite the prayer.

"Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen." With that everybody began to eat. My eyes wandered the room curiously as I forked generous amounts of chicken into my mouth.

I watched all the other students eat their food, make small talk. I turned to face Louise who seemed to be mid conversation with the girls across her. I didn't really want to randomly put myself into their talk so I began to look around the rest of the room.

Nobody really seemed to care what was happening, they all just cared about their friends and their food. Which I had to admit was quite lovely. I moved my eyes to the teachers as they ate silently.

They all just watched over the students, smiles covering their faces with pride, some of them just chewing their food emotionlessly as they watched with careful eyes.

When dinner was finished, people just began to leave the room. I didn't think waiting around would do me anything so I quickly pushed my chair back, fixed my skirt and left the table. Louise looked over at me and waved as I walked away.

The hallways were packed, for the most part. It felt sort of unorganized to me, but maybe that was because everybody was aloud to just disperse as they pleased. At my old school, we had to be told when we could leave, otherwise we were to stay put.

The rules being slightly modified and more gentle weren't a bad thing, I was just used to very cruel manners.

And so I pushed my way through the mass amounts of bodies that struggled to leave and head back to their dorms, my arm caught on to the rare person every so often and I'd turn to apologize before continuing on.

I was staring at my feet when suddenly my chest pressed hard against another persons torso. A few folders dropped onto my foot and I winced. Surely, whomever they were, they were much taller than me, harder.. more manly.

I fixed my hair, apologizing as I bent down to pick up the now scattered pieces of paper as they flew around and others trampled over them. The other person bent down with me, grabbing my hands and stopping me.

"Do you have somewhere to be in such a rush?" The slow voice asked of me and I shook my head, still staring at the floor in shame as I knew this was a teacher. I hadn't yet gotten a good look at him, but his voice raged of authority.

He grabbed the papers from my hand quickly yet his movement still felt so tender, so gentle. "Go on, I can do this myself." He ordered me and I shook my head yet again.

"No," I said, clearing my throat as I looked up at him to see forest eyes looking at mine furiously. "I mean... let me help you, it was my fault after all." He rolled his eyes, continuing to gather pieces of paper.

"Be on your way," with that I pouted softly, standing to my feet and looking down at him persistently collecting all his paperwork. He took a quick glance up at me as I stood still, watching him clean up the mess I had made.

My cheeks turned red as his eyes scanned my legs softly, it was very subtle, but not unnoticed. His eyes widened annoyed as I was still there. "My apologies, sir." I muttered weakly as I began to walk away, feeling his eyes burning holes in my back.
