A prophecy was made.
A very significant prophecy.
A prophecy that would cause an inflection in time.
Told was the tale, of a man. A prisoner of power.
So consumed within the twisted confines of his demented mind, that he became an anomaly. And so it was said, by the Seer.
That an evil man, consumed by dark sin, would be condemned to his death, and he would meet his end in the hands of high power. It was his Fate.

Life gets boring, especially for an immortal that has already lived through a couple of centuries. My boring life had been moving slow as always, until recently. The Seer had attracted a huge chunk of my attention. An age old prophecy was apparently going to be fulfilled in a few months time. Yeah tell me about it. I needed to find her.
"Liz, summon me the Seer."
"I am not your messenger pigeon, you ass. And learn some fucking manners, would you? Say it politely and I will. Otherwise I'll be right here reading my book."
And she turned to her book. She was serious. Had it been someone else talking to me like that, they'd be dead. I don't like disrespect. Where were these palace maids when they were needed? Now I had to swallow my pride and beg her. I hate this but I need the Seer more. So here goes my pride.
"Oh wonderful sister, would you be kind enough as to summon the Seer for me?" I looked at her with a sickeningly saccharine smile. I rarely express the emotion.
"Oh sure, with pleasure. Anything for you, brother dearest." she retorted with an equal smile of her own, shutting her book and leaving the room to go find Tria.. I rolled my eyes. Liz was so extra at times.
I continued looking through the records that mother had forced me to. Boring records of humans, werewolves, faeries and the rest of the paranormal realm. I really wasn't into this. I wanted some action. I wanted my mate. I'd lived through centuries without her until I'd completely given up all hope of ever finding her. Maybe the mother star was actually punishing me for all my not so good deeds. Karma was catching up. Depressing thoughts. I shoved them aside and went back to the records that kept the normal and paranormal realms in harmonized balance.
And they just burst into my study, no knocks, nothing. Typical Liz. I looked up. Liz went back to jet book, even after living for centuries, she still tried to read every written material known to man. Why read about the Medieval period when you'd lived through it? Beats me.
I faced Tria. Dressed in a barely there outfit as usual. She came to me, sitting on my lap. Okay, Tria is pretty, that's a given, but she's getting too comfortable. Her name is Tria but everyone calls her The Seer. Because that's what she is, a seer. An important part of the cosmos. She is not immortal, no. She has the lifespan of a normal human being but can see the future, not at will though. It manifests itself in form of visions at will. She inherited that from her mother. Their line of seers goes way back, I knew her great great great great grandmother. Lots of greats. They've always worked for me.
The arrangement we have with Tria is more of just companionship. I can't make her my mate, never. But she's just my companion. We fuck when we need to. And she predicts the future when she needs to.
