"I think you should just listen to my theory about Rory." said Nadia, on the phone with Elisa.

Elisa raised her eyebrows, even though her best friend couldn't see her. She didn't say anything, because  either way, Nadia would blurt out what she wanted to say.

"So, maybe he's just so awestruck about your beauty... that, he was overwhelmed by it, so he ran away." Nadia exclaimed, Elisa didn't believe it.

Elisa had pitch black hair, which felt so soft when you ran your hands through it. Brown chocolate eyes which she inherited from her mother. A heart-shaped face which enhanced her beauty, and a body like a model. But, even if her friends and family keep complimenting her, she still felt insecure.

"Come on Nad, that line has been used so many times. Face it, he thinks I'm weird... maybe I should just give up dating for good." said Elisa, rolling her eyes at her best friend's silliness.

"You should never, it would be such a shame a beautiful girl like you will die alone!" Nadia said quickly, her eyes wide.

"You think I'm pretty? Look at yourself, lots of boys like you, unlike me." Elisa said, almost sadly. She looked at the clock across her room, and saw that it was almost 10:30pm. She quickly bid goodbye to her best friend and got ready for sleep.

When she lied down on her bed, she was thinking about why Rory, a guy who asked her out, suddenly run away from her. She was thinking of excuses of why he did that, but never found one convincing. Eventually, she fell asleep, wishing she was prettier and more confident, but quickly thought how thankful she was to be normal.

"So, how was school yesterday? I never got the chance to ask you guys." Mrs. Agron, Elisa's mom asked her and her older brother.

"Mom, there was this hot chick, so I asked her out. Know what the answer was? Yes! Oh, and other than that, everything else was boring." Eddie replied, his mouth full with French toast. Elisa winced when a piece landed on her nose, and wiped it off with a napkin. Now, her mom and brother were looking at her.

"I think you were dreaming Eddie, no hot chick will say yes to you." she said after chewing the food in her mouth. Her brother gasped, about to defend himself, but Elisa cut him off, replying to their mother.

"A boy asked me out again, but before I can say anything, he ran away. Just like the rest of them. Classes were boring, nothing new."she said, still disappointed. She looked at her brother and saw that he was squirming. She stared at him curiously, before she can ask what's wrong, her dad entered the dining room.

"Good morning my crazy family!" Mr. Agron's voice boomed, scaring all of them, even himself.

"I did not expect that. Anyways, your mom and I, will be out of town again. So, Uncle Pearl will be staying with us. I mean you guys since we won't be here." He announced, kissing Elisa and Mrs. Agron, and ruffling Eddie's hair before sitting down.

Elisa and Eddie laughed, remembering how their uncle was when he last visited. It doesn't help when his name was like the uncle of Hannah Montana in the TV series.

"Well, have a safe trip mom and dad... I think Eddie and I have to go now, love you." Elisa said looking at the clock, which read 7:40 am. She stood up to kiss both her parents, Eddie followed after her.

Soon, both of them were out the house, walking down the block to their nearby school. It only takes 10 minutes to reach there, which they used as bonding time together.

"What was that squirming you were doing back home?" She thought he didn't get her, so she was about to tell him the more specific details. But before she could do that, he smiled sheepishly looking at her.

"I just had a little itch below." He said, scratching the back of his left ear. Elisa grimaced, thinking it was a little bit too much information.

From then on they talked about other stuff, in no time they reached Lenseman High, their school. Once they entered, most of the people glanced their way. Not once did Eddie and Elisa enter school separately. But if they did, they had a huge fight. Which happens only once in a blue moon.

Girls drooled over Eddie's muscular figure. On the other hand, boys check out Elisa, of course, Eddie glares at all of them.

You could call them popular, but Elisa was unaware that she was one of them. They bid goodbye, going to their different group of friends.

"Girl, your brother is hot. Too bad we made that girl code, if we didn't, then I would totally tap him."

Elisa made the action of gagging, just like every day. As for Lorenzo and Jeremy, they exaggerated their actions. Lorenzo was kneeling on the floor fake gagging, and Jeremy was doing a seizure.

"Guys, we get the point, just stop doing that every day." Nadia said, rolling her eyes, lightly kicking Jeremy, hoping she didn't really hurt him. He suddenly stood up, realizing that a lot of people were watching. He nodded at those passing by, acting nonchalant.

The four of them were called 'The 4 Rom Coms'. Elisa and Nadia were the Romantics (mostly Nadia), Jeremy and Lorenzo were the Comedians (mostly Jeremy). The students were entertained daily, these people could cheer those sad or mad people up.

"Not happening, this is my daily exercise. It actually really helps." said Jeremy putting his arm on Elisa's shoulders.

"Well then maybe I should try it. But seriously, seizures are serious. You should not make fun of them." Elisa said, landing a friendly kiss on Jeremy's cheek. In reply, he smiled shyly at Elisa, but she was talking to Lorenzo.

He looked at Nadia, his arm still on Elisa's shoulders. Nadia raised her eyebrows, smiling. Jeremy looked back at Elisa, how her lips moved when she talked, and how she licked her lips when it was getting dry.

He mentally slapped himself, asking himself why he would have a crush on his close friend, Elisa. But deep down, wishing she could feel the same.
