To say I am okay is an understatement,I have been a shadow of myself since the day my dad has told me of his sickness and marriage issue ,I was depressed,I stared at myself and couldn't believe how odd I look ,I haven't had time to take care of myself I guess my emotions has taken a toll on me after sighing for the countless time i had a fast bath and put on my clothes,I have dinner with dad and I decide to look good so he won't see what I have become,I am optimistic things will be okay but the marriage issue is my concern,I didn't even the unlucky guy and I don't want to know for the time being,after doing a perfect job to my look I took my purse and rushed out,I sat down and gave my driver the address to the restaurant I was going,after a fifteen minutes drive we got their,I said a little prayer to have the strength to face dad and not break down ,I walked out of the car with all the confidence and entered the restaurant,dad called me over to his sit opening his hands for a hug,I embraced him and held it in ,he looked at myself as if searching for a secret I smiled at him and looked at the face that has been their for me for the past twenty four years of my being ,my dad cleared his throat and spoke ,am sorry guys it's just that it's been a while we've seen each other ,that was then I noticed we had visitors,I saw dad's close friend Mr Luper he stood up and kissed my cheeks,follwed by his wife,that was when I noticed a pair of blue eyes staring at me curiously he stood up and took my hands kissing them with time,I saw the smirk he was giving me and I decided two can play the game,nice to see you again Maya he said I smiled sheepishly and replied same here Zil,our parents watched curiously at our little drama they know we were once good friends but know nothing about the hatred and distance,I took my seat next to dad and ordered some smoothie with some chips,my dad spoke up ,Su I called for this date for you to understand my decisions,I know you might think am selfish and that but trust me it's in your best interest,I don't know where this is going but I listened,I have decided to step down for a while to face my health and hand it over to you and Tanzil,now am getting confuse what does Tanzil have to do with this I thought that is when it rang a bell he is my supposed fiancee I glance at him and I saw no surprise on his face indicating he already knows about it ,but how will I survive staying with him for a day talkless of a life time ,I glanced at my dad and lost most of what he is saying,he looked hopeful at me and smiled I hope you understand and won't disappoint me princess he said,a tear came out of nowhere seeing him say this ,I held his hand and nodded,he looked satisfied and told me the wedding is taken place early next month ,I closed my eyes briefly hearing this but if it means sacrificing my happiness for my dad it's what I would do willingly and so I did,dad I spoke you mean everything to me so I assure you I will make you proud and get married to this douchebag for your sake ,I covered my mouth after realising what I said ,I heard laughter from his parents and I saw him looking at me sternly,he smiled at me and took my hands ,he looked at my face and took my hand and kissed them, telling me he is glad we are getting married I know it is all a show for his parents which is fine by me,I smiled back and told him he should be since he is lucky it's me ,I saw a little coldness in his eyes before he composed himself and smiled,our parents were so happy with our decisions that they can't read behind the smiles we keep sending meaningful looks to eachother throughout the meal,after chatting with dad and the lupers for a while we called it a night,my dad hugged me and kissed me before leaving followed by the lupers how I so love them but excluding their son ,I was about entering my car when a hand stopped me ,aren't you forgetting something princess he said ,I faced him and smiled and what will that be prince ,my goodnight kiss he said I noticed his parents were watching so I gave him my killer look but he didn't relent before I knew he was hugging me and kissing me though it's just a lip touch but still, "how dare him",he looked at me innocently and spoke to my ears this is just the beginning Maya,I have more surprises I can't wait to show you princess,I flinched out of his embraced then noticed his parents had gone ,I was angry was beyond words before I could say anything he winked and drove off, I was still staring at his car leave ,then I thought if you think you are a good actor I will show you I am a good director I smiled at myself liking the plans crowding my head now I can't wait to share it with Aliza , tomorrow is going to be a long day I smiled.
