Eri P.O.V
I was going back home from a hard day at school. There was a surprise test at school and I got the highest marks in it. My parents and brother are gonna be so proud of me. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! My brother told me that he had a surprise for me when I got home. Yipee! My brother always has the best surprises. I picked up my speed and skipped along the way home. I lost myself in wondering what the surprise would be.
1 Hour Later
Oh no!! I got stuck in watching a hero-villain fight and now the sun's already setting! I need to hurry back home otherwise I would get scolded by Mommy! With the scary thought of Mommy's scolding, I forced my body to run as fast as it could. After a few minutes of nonstop sprinting, I reached the imposing gates of the Yakuza block. The red shogun-era gates stood proud in the street, the orange sunlight accentuating the patterns and making it look more... ominous that evening. I stared at the gates for a few moments, dumbstruck at its sudden beauty. Seeing the sun almost reach the horizon in the reflection of the gates snapped me back to reality. Reaching up to them, I put my hands against the smooth surface and pushed...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stepped through the gates into the an empty street. There was no one there, not even the guards. Now that I think about it, the gate was not manned, which is strange since there were at least two guards manning the gate. Just what is going on here? The only way to know is to go forward. I move forward, wary of any movements in the shadows. After a few minutes of walking, I finally see someone. Excited to finally get some answers, I run towards the person only to see something horrifying...
It was Uncle Hari, but....but he was bleeding!! His blood was all over the place and a puddle had already formed around him. I knelt down beside him and placed my hands above the slash on his chest to try to stop the bleeding.
"Uncle Hair, hold on. I will get you some help."
I desperately cried out, looking around to find something to warp him up in. There was a voice in the back of my mind telling me that it was futile, that it was too late for him. I ignored the voice in favor of continuing my search. There! I saw a curtain hanging from the door of a shop. I went up to pick it up but something caught my hand. I looked down to see Uncle Hari holding my arm.
"Don't. Its too... late for me." He called out, coughing blood between blood. I tried to protest but one look at his eyes, full of desperation, had my voice dying in my throat. I knelt beside him once again, tears already in my eyes, knowing that his next words would be his last.
"Eri...run. Izuku...he..h.."
The light went out of Uncle Hari's eyes as he said those words. I was feeling a strong desire to cry my eyes out. Was this how Mommy felt when Grandpa died? I closed Uncle Hari's eyes and stood up, wiping my tears with my forearm. He said something about Izu-nii. Was he in danger? I have to find out. I look at Uncle Hari's corpse. I see the moon's reflection in the puddle of blood. Tears fall down as I remember all the good times I had with him.
"Uncle Hari, I.... I swear... I will bring your killer to justice"
With that vow, I look ahead and run towards my home, an unknown feeling planting its seeds in my heart.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ran towards my home, heart pounding in my chest and mind filled with fear. The stench of blood was spread all the street making my stomach queasy. Blood was splashed on the windows of the houses, making me doubt my belief that my family would be safe. Still I went on, passing by a few more bodies before I reached home. The lights were out, making the worm of doubt in my mind grow bigger. 'This is not the time for doubts, its the time for answers' I thought to myself, steeling my resolve and slid the door open.
Empty. It was empty. No sound, no lights... nothing. Normally, Mommy would be in the kitchen getting the dinner ready while Papa read the newspaper. No one was there. The kitchen, living room, even the washroom was empty. There was still the upper floor left but I wanted put that off as much as possible. It was very, very creepy this night. Mustering up my courage, I climb up the stairs... and its empty. The hallway was empty. As I passed by my parent's room, I heard a small splash. I looked down and saw something seeping out from behind the door. Bad thoughts immediately came to my mind. I hurriedly slid the door only to see a sight more horrifying than Uncle Hari's body...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mama and Papa...they...they were...crucified!! I knew they were dead long before I reached home. I knew that crucification required a fair amount of time. So, does that mean that... Uncle Hari was made to suffer all that time!! The sudden realization made me bring my hands to my mouth as tears began to fall from my eyes. If only I had been a bit early, Uncle Hari would not have died. He wouldn't have... By this time, I had fallen down to the floor, sobs wreaking my body as guilt and fear consumed my mind. Barely did I notice that the seeds of the unknown feeling planted in my heart were beginning to sprout.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I heard footsteps coming towards me. I rose my head to check who was making the noise and saw Izu-nii. He was standing beside the wall where Mama and Papa were crucified. Seeing him made hope rise in my heart. He would have some answers, he...he would avenge our family, he was the most powerful member of the Yakuza, he had to. I opened my mouth to ask the questions but he raised his hand to stop me.
"I know what you are going to ask, so you have no need to speak. First of all, the Yakuza clan has been massacred, that is, except for you and me."
Wait..what!! Everyone else was also dead?! Who did it and...why?? Seemingly reading my mind, Izu-nii continued with his answers
"Second of all, it was I who killed them all, my little unicorn."
To someone else, the last words would have been of inconsequential but to me, it was a confirmation of his identity. Wait a sec... who was it that killed all the other people in this area. But..but...why?? Why would Izu-nii kill everyone? Why??
"Third of all, I killed them because"- He knelt down to look me straight in the eye-"I wanted to"
He gave me a cheeky grin as he said those words. He killed them... in a way so that they would suffer in their dying moments...just because...he wanted to?!?!?! How dare he!?!? How dare he spit in the face of everyone who treated him like a family?! And how dare he smile...smile about it!?
Never would I have thought that I could feel rage in such a large quantity. A rage so overwhelming that I was drowned in the sea of boiling emotions. And in that moment, I felt the sprouted seeds in my heart fully blossom and awaken a power deep within. The name came to my mind as if it was always there, but only now could I remember it.

AN : There you have it, folks! This is just in its baby steps but I can feel its going to be great story. Some of you may have already guessed that the dynamics between Eri and Izuku are going to be 'somewhat' similar to Sasuke and Itachi.
I had published this before with 3rd Perspective but, it didn't look good to me. So, I changed it to 1st POV and I have to say, this is much better than the previous one.
Any reviews and criticism are much appreciated as they help me get better at writing.
