Kairi woke up in a small room, looking around she figured out that she was on a bed in someone's home.

The room she was in was furnished humbly and decorated with seashell iconography.

Kairi stood up off the bed, still trying to figure out where she was and who brought her here in the first place.

As if on cue, Xion walked in with a tray of food but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Kairi was standing.

"Kairi, I didn't expect you to be awake already." Xion said after a bit of the two just silently looking at one another.

"You...brought me here?" Kairi asked slowly "Yes" was all Xion said in response.

"I'm sorry to cause so much trouble..." Kairi replied feeling a hint of embarrassment at needing to be helped, which was something of a habit for her, one she was becoming more and more insecure about over time.

"Don't worry about it Kairi...." Xion began speaking "...When I heard you screaming I didn't know what was going on and then I saw you swinging around at nothing-" Xion began explaining, catching Kairi's attention at the end.

"Nothing?" Kairi said curiously, her voice trembling as she tried to keep her composure.

"...Kairi?" Xion asked suspiciously "....What did you see?" the black-haired woman added to her question.

Kairi looked away, hesitant to answer her question which caused Xion to lean in closer with an annoyed glint in her eye.

"Kairi, what is it?" Xion asked again, this time with a bit more force in her tone.

"I-I saw someone...a friend..." Kairi began to answer, her voice shaking as she did so "But...She wasn't herself...and she said these...these things to me." She continued to speak almost in a panic, losing any form of composure she had left as she began to fight back tears.

"Why would you hallucinate something like that?" Xion asked as she placed a hand on Kairi's back in an attempt to comfort her.

"I..." Kairi began but stopped herself, which didn't go unnoticed by her friend.

Before either one of them could speak, Kairi's phone began to ring.

She pulled her phone out and noticed it was a call from Riku, she touched the answer call prompt on her screen and he appeared on the screen.

"Kairi!" Riku greeted from the other end of the call "I'm headed to Twilight Town, I think we might have found a way to find Sora." He continued with excitement.

"Really?!" Kairi shouted in surprise.

"Yeah! I hope I'm not interrupting your little trip." Riku joked with a smirk you could just hear in his voice.

Kairi held her tongue, she wanted to say something back to him since this little trip has only proven to be more stressful and was his idea in the first place.

"Anyway, I've got to start driving so I'll hang up." Riku responded to the silence with more information "Meet me at the train station, okay?" he added.

After a bit of hesitation, Kairi replied with a simple "...Okay." before hanging up.

Riku wasn't sure why, but he felt like something was off with Kairi, but he just brushed it off as her being overwhelmed at the idea that they could actually find and save Sora.

He placed his phone back into his jacket pocket and pulled out a dark blue and white shoulder pad that closely resembled the kind that Terra and company wore.
