today me and my mom got in this huge argument and she ended up kicking me out of the house "you need to leave NOW" my mom said pointing to the door so I left I got on my skateboard and rode to the mall where I thought I would calm down. I was in hot topic when I felt eyes glaring into the back of my head and I looked over my shoulder and saw a cute brown haired boy with piercing blue eyes staring at me but when I looked at him he emedietly looked back at the clothes. I left hot topic after getting a couple of shirts and pants when I felt the same eyes glaring at me again but when I went to look back I heard loud POP noises and felt a sharp pain in my stomach and everything went black

COLBYS POV

*earlier*

I walked into hot topic and I saw a girl looking at the band shirts she looked cute kinda like "my type" or whatever you wanna call it I caught myself staring at her when she looked back at me and I looked down quickly. I walked out only to see the girl again and she must've saw me too because she looked at me but then I heard two loud POP noises and I heard a thud right next to me only to see the girl laying on the ground holding her stomach but unconscious so I went over to her and picked her up bridal style and walked to the nearest store and went to the back exit and ran to my car as fast as could, put her down in the passenger seat and got in the drivers seat, I was driving to the hospital , I picked her up when we got there and took her in the doors "she was shot I said as the doctors laid her on a gurney "do you know her name?" the doctor asked me "no" I said "ok when she wakes up we are gonna call her parents'' the doctor said as she was pulled into a surgery room to get the bullets taken out , I was watching the tv in the waiting room "breaking news, there was a shooting at the city mall and the suspect is known as Bradford perkins he has multiple charges of assault, rape, and even murder before this shooting" the news reporter says she was cut off by the nurse "Colby the girl would like to see you" the nurse says "what room number is she in?" I ask "room a67" the nurse says. I walk down to her room and knock before coming in "hey" I said nervously "whats up im karrah" she says "im Colby" I said "I have one question" karrah says "ask away" I say "why did you save me?" karrah asks "do u ever see someone and feel like you've known them your whole life" I ask "yeah" she says "well that's how it felt when I saw you at hot topic and when the thing happened I just felt the need to save you" I say "thanks, and by the way I kinda felt like I knew you before to so don't feel weird about it'' she says ''sooooosince we're gonna be here a while we might as well get to know each other so we're gonna play a game of truth and dare without the dare" I say sitting in the chair next to her bed "ok... how old are you?" she asks "20, you?" I ask "19...where are you from" she says "Kansas city, you?" I ask "Kansas city... favorite color?" she asks "black, whats yours" I ask "bright red, your turn to ask the questions" she says "ok ummm whats your birthday" I ask "may 6th, you?" she says "jan 2nd", we play the game for about 2 more hours and after that I feel like I know her pretty well. like one thing she said she was completely color blind meaning she can only see black and white but she likes to think of what her favorite color would look like

KARRAHS POV

after Colby left I went sleep and the next morning when I woke up the doctors said that I could go home early but the bad part is that I wouldn't really be going home. I never built up the courage to tell the doctors that I was kicked out of my own home permanently but I had somewhere to go. I grabbed my skate board that was in the waiting room and left I rode for about an hour when I finally got to the place it was a abandoned building that didn't look to bad it honestly looked like someone was living in in even though there wasn't but now there is, I put my stuff down and I felt pretty hungry and I left because I still had some money left from when I went to the mall I was on my way to mcdonalds when I hear someone honk at me I look back and I see Colby in a red Toyota carola "hey karrah do you need a ride" Colby said "no im good thank you though" I say "you sure, where are you going" Colby asks "mcdonalds" I say "weren't you supposed to go home" Colby asks "about that... umm I was kicked out and that's why I was in the mall the other day" I say super fast hoping he wouldn't hear me "holy crap... hey you could live with me and my roommates we have a spare bedroom" Colby says "uhh did you forget that we basically just met" I say "come onnn but im sure they'll love you karrah PLEASE" he says sounding like a baby "fine" I say getting into the car *time skip* we get to this huge house "we're here" Colby says again sounding like a child "ok" I say nervously also getting out of the car we walk up to the door and he opens it letting me in when I walk in I look around and Colby shuts the door "woah" I say surprised "GUYS GET DOWN HERE" Colby says I cover my ears from how loud he screamed it "good lord Colby you just busted my ear drums" I say laughing all the roommates get down there "guys I want you to meet Karrah shes gonna be living with us" Colby says as I nervously wave "whats up im sam colbys bestfriend" sam says getting up and shaking my hand eventually I greet all the roommates "so karrah how'd you meet Colby" sam asks "ummm well u know that shooting at the mall" I ask and he nods his head "well I was shot and I was unconscious and he saved me" I say they all look at me surprised and Colby walks in "why do you guys look like you just saw a ghost" Colby says confused "karrah just told us how you guys met" sam says
