NOT AN UPDATE

i told someone i was going to update by saturday, and at the time i really meant it. i was going to update by friday, however, on friday i went to a protest, and at the end it turned really violent. the cops were shooting rubber bullets, throwing teargas, the people were breaking glass and a bunch of buildings, setting things on fire. it was chaotic, and i'm glad i went, because we shouldn't have to protest and break things for social justice and police brutality, and white privilege. we should already have justice, we are human fucking beings, yet cops are still killing black men and women every single fucking day. my life is constantly in danger because i'm afraid a cop may come to my door and kill me or i could just be walking in the streets and the cops would kill me. why!?! because of my fucking skintone, because i'm fucking black. WE ARE NOT THREATS. WE ARE NOT KILLERS. WE JUST WANT JUSTICE, and if we can't get justice, then you won't get peace. i will protest every single fucking day, so people can get it through their mind that i'm not dangerous, i'm not a threat, i'm just a black high school girl that wants to live to see 25 years old. i don't want to teach my children what to do if they get pulled over by a cop, i don't want to teach them how to fucking breathe if a cops knee is on their fucking neck, i don't want to teach them to not run when you see a cop, or do not resist if you are being arrested. I DONT WANT TO TEACH THEM THAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT SHIT IN MY LIFETIME. MY MOM WAS PULLED OVER TWICE BECAUSE SHE WAS BLACK. SHE IS A BLACK FEMALE DRIVING A NICE CAR IN A SEMI TERRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD, YET COPS PULLED HER OVER, BUT ONCE THEY SAW WHO SHE WAS BY HER NAME TAG THEY LET HER GO! THEY WERE ABOUT TO PULL MY MOM OUT OF THE FUCKING CAR AND ME WITH HER ALL BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK. I FUCKING HATE SOCIETY AND COPS. I USED TO LOOK UP TO COPS AND SAY WOW I WANT TO BE LIKE THEN WHEN I GROW UP, AND NOW ALL I THINK WHEN I SEE THEM IS, I NEED TO TELL EVERYONE I LOVE THEM BECAUSE TODAY MAY BE MY LAST DAY BECAUSE IM BLACK
