-Beep, Beep, Beep- The alarm clock went off a 5:50 Am, the time I had set it for. I sat up thinking, Why did I set my alarm so early? then I remembered. "The school field trip!" I jumped out of bed, getting my small leg tangled in the blankets and hitting the floor hard on my elbow. After untangling my leg and sitting on the floor for a few minutes nursing my elbow by rubbing my hand around the area where it was in pain. I stood up and picked my blankets up making my bed before I got dressed. I always made sure that my bed was made and perfect just like my life....or so I thought then. After making my bed I started my normal morning routine. I was a pretty boring child, always doing the same things at the same time without fail.

As soon as my bed was made I walked into my bathroom, almost tripping on the carpet in the hallway and stumbling sleepily into the wall. I sighed and brushed the pain away to excited for the day that was to come. When I entered the bathroom I opened the mirror without looking at my reflection I pulled out the toothpaste and my toothbrush closing the mirror, seeing my reflection and scaring myself by looking at my monstrous face in the morning. My hair was puffed up like a cats fur when it was mad. Giggling as I paused shrugging off my ugly morning look, turned on the water and brushed my teeth. Sighing happily I put my stuff away and I jumped into the shower.

When I got out of the shower I blow dried , brushed, then curled my long bleach blonde hair letting it fall over my shoulders making my baby blue eyes pop and sparkle in the bathroom light. After doing all this I hurried back to my bedroom realizing it was 6:39.

I sighed realizing I only had twenty minutes until I had to leave. I rummaged through my clothes searching and searching for the right outfit when I finally picked out a pretty purple tutu and a really cute purple t-shirt to match.

"Mom!" I shouted down the hallway to get my mom's attention. I heard her sigh before she said.

"Yes baby girl? What do you need I'm running a little late today." She said this trying to sound annoyed, but I could see right through that and I laughed.

"Mom I need to ask you a question, please come here?" I asked her as she started to go downstairs. I knew this made her mad and I loved it when she got mad at me for this. I heard her sigh from the stairs.

"Honey do you want breakfast or fashion opinions, because you don't really have time for both you really only set your alarm for ten extra minutes and your bus is gonna be here in about twelve minutes. You're choice Lucy baby" She said walking back upstairs standing in my doorway. Not yet realizing that I did that on purpose to make her come upstairs again.

"Ha now you already upstairs mom." I answered with a perky, silly tone in my voice. I smiled and stuck my tongue out through my big pink lips, and pushed air into my rosy red cheeks.

"Fine, you look beautiful baby as always, now what do you want for breakfast?" My mom asked leaning on my door frame. Looking at me with the same smile I gave her moments before. She was my best friend and the best mother in the world.

"Oh, oh I want cereal, Lucky Charms cereal!" I screamed running down the stairs putting my favorite pair of black flats and my light purple coat on and then running over to my special chair and sitting down with a thud almost sliding out of the chair. My mom came down shortly after me and got out my favorite cereal Lucky Charms and poured me a bowl.

"Lucy eat fast you have about five minutes. Baby girl do you need you're backpack today?" My mom called from the hallway by the front door of our house. Picking up the mess of shoes I had left there right before she came downstairs.

"No mom." I mumbled through a mouthful of cereal. Giggling as bits of marshmallows and the hard pieces in the cereal dropped on the table. Little did I know that this was the beginning of the day that would change my life forever.
