Narrator's POV:

Jan woke up as the plane landed. He was so exited, all he could do was smile!

He got out of the plane, grabbed all his luggage and went to find a taxi.

{ ...}

Jan was looking out of the window of the taxi, looking at all those tall buildings, at all those colorful lights on the little shops, at all the people on the streets and all that he could do was smile while admiring the beggining of the rest of his life.

"You got a big smile on your face there sir, you look happier than a russian kid first time tasting vodka!"

that last sentence made Jan giggle, but honestly, it'd make anybody giggle.

"I'm sorry, I'm just admiring the view. Everything here seems so different and vibrant"

"Well you'll love it here at night, everything gets even more 'vibrant'. After all, New York is 'The City that never sleeps' huh!"

"Yeah, I suppose"

"May I also ask where are you from? No wait, let me guess!"

Jan was a little surprised about the fact that the taxi driver didn't clock that he was American but he didn't really mind it though.

He found the driver very funny and spontanious for a russian man, I guess stereotypes aren't aways right.

"Uhm...Are you...Italian? No wait, Spanish? Maybe German? No ,not German... No yeah, definetly Italian!"

"No, I'm actually American"

Jan said while giggling a little.

"NO WAY! HAHA where's your sunburnt red skin, fake blond hair and your rude personality??"

"Not all Americans are like that u know uhm...sorry, whats your name again?"

"Ah! My American name is Brian, my actual name is Dmitri but i hate the way they pronounce it here."

He said it and he meant it, but the way he told things was entertaining and that made Jan giggle a little more

"What's yours?"

Brian asked while looking at Jan through the rearview mirror

"Oh, I'm Jan!"

He turned around to face Jan and said:

"Nice to meet ya Jan"

 While shaking his hand.

"So Brian, since we're talking about stereotypes, where's your vodka and your mafia tattoo?"

Jan said jokingly

"Oh Vodka is always with me!"

He said while taking out a small bottle of Vodka out of  his jacket and taking a sip.

"And about the mafia tattoos, i haven't got any but I have some cool ones! Do you wanna see them?"

Jan noticed that Brian was way too exited to show him his tattoos, he got the vibe.

"Oh Brian, you have to take me to dinner first!"

Jan said humorously.

Brian chuckled, he pointed at a tall building close to where they were and said:

"There, there's your final destination симпатичный мальчик!"

When Jan heard that, somehow his smile got even wider and brighter. He couldn't be more exited!

{...}

Brian Helped Jan take his luggage out of the taxi's trunk, he  was visibly very strong.

"Thanks for the ride, loved our conversation!"

"Oh no problem симпатичный мальчик, it's not only my job but also my pleasure!"

They both smiled.

"Here, take my card, I'd love to see you again! Maybe take you to that dinner sometime and maybe after it, just maybe, show you my tattoos..."

Brian said with a smirk on his face, that well known 'heartthrob from movies'  kind of smirk.

Jan smiled looking down, he was blushing. His first day in New York and he's alredy got a date? Wow that's something!

" I'll think about it!"

He winked at the russian man.

"Goodbye симпатичный мальчик! See you later!"

"You've been calling me that for a while now, what does it mean?"

"It means 'Pretty Boy' in russian!"

Jan smiled at the ground again. That man was being so nice to him and he was incredibly  handsome! He might as well give him a chance.

"Goodbye Brian!"

He waved at the taxi. It honked and Brian's hand came out of the window and waved back.

"He's really cute"

Jan said to himself.

Oh what a nice day it's been! But he still has a lot to do!
