The party places a bag over Amrik's head and dumps his lackey into the ocean. They walk back to the Elf Song Tavern with people staring at them the whole way back. After some talking with Alan the bartender, and getting a long nights rest, the party conversed about where they were going to hold Amrik for the time being. Alan wouldn't let them use the bar, so they went to find a place out in the slums. But first, Zayne bought a bottle of the strongest alcohol Alan had, and forced Amrik so drink some of it down, knocking him out yet again. And so, the party made their way out of the tavern, with Arachne making sure Amrik didn't die. At some point in the trek, they realized that they were being followed by some shadowy figures. As luck would have it, they noticed a man selling his wares: rugs. Zayne stealthy poured alcohol on one of the rugs, and with Gethel's prestidigitation, the rug caught alight. Immediately, the rug seller panicked, saying that his business & livelihood were ruined. Zayne soaked another rug in alcohol and started beating the fire with it, that rug burned too, much to Zayne's "surprise". Once the fire was truly roaring, the party successfully made their escape, with nobody tailing them.

Once they made it one of the city gates, they looked for the most disgruntled and annoyed looking guard. They walk over to the guard and are able to talk their way through with no additional search or fuss. Now about 5 silver poorer, the party finds an old textile factory that would be perfect to hide in. They picked the lock with no trouble whatsoever and look around their temporary hideout, it was dusty, but passable. Arachne starts drafting up a ransom note, with the rest of the party's feedback. That is when they noticed something or rather, someone: a young boy that called himself Quick Ben. After talking with Ben, and Gethel cleaning him up with prestidigitation, he agreed to deliver the note to the Vanthamper house the next day. The party shares a meal, and start to interact with Quick Ben as they settle down for the day. Githli plays cards with Ben while the others ask him about his past, which was a real sob story I'll tell you what. The next day, the Ben went off to deliver the letter, with the party following him once noon hit.

(Unfortunately, I could not find the final draft of the note)
