"WELCOME TO THE REALITY HOUSE!"corey raised his white claw, clashing it against the others drinks. a sly smirk tugged at his lips, knowing the wrath these contests were about to endure. sure, they were his best friends and he loved them all dearly, but he had to switch into 'host mode'. it was crucial that the show got views and in order for views, they needed drama and he was perfect at stirring that up.
on the other hand, renee, his co-host, was feeling guilty. she knew the challenges constructed for her friends. she knew there'd be tears shed, friendships broken, enemies made. the whole idea of reality tv was sick, but these fourteen individuals were all close, friends or not. she had faith that they could do this.
"one of you is walking away with 500,000 dollars and the ability to prove you are the best out of everyone here," corey said proudly, looking among the group. he looked over at renee, giving the blonde a nod, "would you like to explain the surprise?" he asked.
"as you know, there are fourteen of you," she took a break, looking among the confused faces, "there is only room for twelve of you in this house meaning, two of you are going home...tonight."
the contestants faces were not happy to say the least.
"we just drove four hours to be here and your sending us off like that! we just got here!" mike protested, raising his voice above the others murmurs. he took a long swig of his beer, leaning further back into the leather couch.
corey cleated his throat, "this is reality tv, mike. nothing about this is supposed to be... 'fair'," his fingers curled into air quotes around the word fair.
CONFESSIONAL
"so we just arrived about an hour ago. we're all ranging from tipsy to drunk off of all the drinks they've given us and now they're throwing a challenge right in our faces. like boom here you go, destined for failure!" sasha exclaimed, rolling her eyes at the camera.
CONFESSIONAL OVER
"our first challenge is probably one of the easiest. we have twelve keys hidden around the back yard, whoever gets a key, gets a spot in the house. got it?" corey asked.
the group nodded, obviously dreading the challenge. nobody wanted to go home tonight.
CONFESSIONAL
alexa crossed her right leg over her left, a smug look upon her face, "i'm feeling pretty confident going into this one," she nodded, "i know baron and liv are already beyond drunk so i have a feeling they'll be going home tonight."
CONFESSIONAL OVER
renee and corey led the group out to the back yard, lining them up. "when i say go, find your keys," renee directed, "1, 2, 3, go!"
the group dispersed in all different directions. there was pushing and shouting, some people were ripping up the yard, others were taking a calm approach.
"baron, why the hell are you in the pool?!" renee laughed, watching him drunkenly swim around, splashing water in every direction possible.
"IM FUCKING GONNA WIN, THAT'S WHY!" he yelled. renee shook her head, deciding not to help the clueless man. there were no keys in the pool.
over towards the left of the yard, naomi was searching around the outdoor bar. she went behind it crouching down, letting her hands investigate the dark shelves. she gasped feeling her fingers trace over a thin bar with protruding edges.
"i found a key!" she exclaimed, excitedly jumping up in down through the yard. "i found a key bitches, i'm staying!" she screeched.
renee smiled, giving the girl a high five and taking the key from her. "good job baby girl!"
