Todoroki refused to move, stopping dead in his tracks. "How-...how did you know?" He shook. Deku pointed to the python tattoo snaking up his tanned arm, "that, and compared to Bakugo, you're too nice." Todoroki hugged his arms close to his body self consciously. So much for hiding it. "I'm so used to being unguarded here that I didn't even realize I was wearing a T-shirt." The python, that was how hidden by Todoroki's hand, matched his red and white hair which was tied up in a small pony-tail. As embarrassing as it was, Todoroki was more than stunning. Bakugo as well, and Deku felt mundane compared to the two demon roommates, like he couldn't compete. One thing that he had discovered was that demons were so exciting. Each one had a unique personality unlike any angel. Their features were incredible; some had horns of rare colours and sizes and some had freckles shaped like eyes while others had a third eye. But Bakugo and Todoroki were the most stunning creatures he had ever laid his angelic eyes upon. "We leave for Tenebris in five, get ready." Todoroki changed the subject. "I have to get dressed-" Todoroki laughed. "Oh, I meant five seconds." Deku furrowed his brows, "hold on, what?" In the last seconds left, Bakugo joined them in the kitchen, and for the second time that day, the air around Deku began to twist and when he opened his eyes, he was standing in front of a school. Bakugo whined and groaned about how it was a 'waste of time' and how Todoroki is a 'half'n half bastard.' The three walked inside and Deku was pushed into a bathroom stall. A school uniform was pushed into his chest.
"Here you go," Todoroki smiled, "put this on."
When Deku exited the bathroom, he fiddled with the sleeves of his new uniform and cringed. He had been wearing a toga for thousands of years and this much clothing was too much for him. Todoroki caught on to his dissatisfaction and gave him a knowing smile. Bakugo on the other hand was playing a game on his phone with his back pressed against the wall. Every now and again someone would wave to the two demons before catching Deku's eyes and fleeing down the hallway. "Stupid wings!" Deku whined and moved the holes cut in the fabric of his jacket so that they didn't rub against his sensitive wings. Once he fixed it, Deku turned to Todoroki, "where to now?" Todoroki didn't answer but instead he handed the green angel a piece of laminated paper. A schedule. Deku looked down at the paper and cringed like Bakugo had done moments before. "Summoning? I don't know how to summon. I'm an angel for Paradise's sake!" As they began to wander down the hallway, Todoroki looked over Deku's shoulder. "Ah, you're with Bakugo then. Have fun." He waved a last goodbye, leaving the two in the hallway.
--------------------------------
The summoning class door stood tall- tall enough to fit a giant or a titan. "Be careful," Bakugo warned, placing a hand on the doorknob. "Mr. Aizawa can be-" he paused for a moment as if he was waiting for something to jump out of nowhere and stab him. "Unpredictable." He decided. Bakugo opened the door and it was like looking into a whole new world full of bickering kids, potions, plants and many living things that reeked with unpleasant stenches. Among the chaos was Kirishima. His arm hung loosely over the shoulder of a pink haired girl with playful alien-like eyes. Her eyes connected with Deku's and her laughter ceased. The room followed her gaze.
In the corner of the room stood a tall, pale man with a yellow sleeping bag wrapped around his body. Unlike the pink haired girl, the man's eyes were sleep-deprived and sunken. "Midoriya, am I right?" He huffed with great exhaustion. Deku nodded and offered his hand for his new teacher to shake. Aizawa shook his hand and smiled a half smile and pointed to Bakugo, "you will work with Bakugo and Kirishima today." Kirishima brightened and moved over to make room for the two. Unlike Kirishima, Bakugo grumbled with disgust. His anger was stronger than any other demon Deku had met, like burning odium mixed with raging storms of ash and irritation, Bakugo was not one to be meddled with. With eyes as fierce as a lion and a personality as sensitive as an active volcano, he was like a ticking bomb. Bakugo sat at the end of the table, leaving the only available spot for Deku to be between the two demons. When he sat down, Kirishima passed him a paper with 'summoning 101' written at the top in neat, cursive writing and underneath a circle was scribbled onto the page.
"This is a summoning circle," Aizawa deadpanned, "it will allow you to summon a monster from the depths of the deep-" he turned his attention to Deku and sighed, "which is the deepest part of Hell." The girls of the class giggled in Deku's direction before returning to their work. Deku blushed, hiding his head in his arms. "Bakugo, since you have had detention every day this week, you can go first." Bakugo stood without hesitation and walked to the center of the classroom, keeping his eyes glued to his paper as he did so. The blonde stood in front of his teacher and held out a finger. In return, Aizawa pricked Bakugo's finger with the edge of a blade and took a step back. Bakugo smeared his blood across the page and placed it on the floor. Instantly, the page lit up and a luminous glow emitted from the circle in the center. A gust of wing blew past the students and papers and books went flying. Bakugo grinned. A grand entrance and Destruction, he knew he had summoned the right monster. The paper teared into two and a hellhound rose from the fading glow of the circle. It bared it's teeth and searched the room, staring into the awestruck eyes of the baffled crowd. "Well done, Bakugo." Aizawa clapped his hands together. "A hellhound, these creatures are rare. I'm surprised someone of your age has the ability to summon them." Although he enjoyed the praise, it was short-lived since a green haired angel stood from his seat and walked towards the two. He stood in front of Aizawa just as Bakugo had and held out a finger. "I want to try, sir." He tightened his grip on his paper. "You're an angel, idiot. Your blood won't-" "let's give it a go." Aizawa decided. Bakugo's eye twitched but he stalked back to his seat without another word. Deku did as Bakugo once had, holding his hand out for Aizawa to prick. He cringed when it pierced his finger but he held back the tears and smudged his blood across the paper, placing it on the floor after he did so. The class watched the paper closely, waiting for a vicious monster to appear.
What if nothing came? What if the monster didn't feel he was worthy enough to summon them?
The paper glowed a dangerous mix of red, white and orange. A portal formed in the wooden floor boards and not one, but two figures emerged from it. Aizawa choked on his coffee, "Midoriya, how did you do that?" Deku stared down at the two monsters that he had just summoned and stuttered out a meek "I-I don't know sir." You could practically hear his heartbeat drumming against his rib cage at an alarming rate, forcing his anxiety to increase. One of the two monsters he summoned swore so loud the room shook while to other looked around the room with wide eyes like he had walked in on something he wished he had not. Beside them sat both halves of the torn paper. Deku's blood had disappeared and in it's place were the words 'fallen' on one half of the paper and 'full-blood' on the other. That's when Aizawa stood between Deku and the two monsters, "Bakugo, and Todoroki," he mused. "why is it always you two at the root of my problems?" Bakugo scoffed. Aizawa waved his hand in a swift motion and two smaller demons came to his aid, taking Bakugo and Todoroki by the arms and guiding them to the door. Bakugo kicked one in the face but their facial expression stayed the same. Todoroki on the other hand kept quiet and followed them through the door. The drumming in his chest had ceased as Deku watched the two walk through the door and out of the room. "You should follow, Midoriya." He nodded and did as told.
By the time they had reached the end of the hallway, Bakugo had stopped screaming and kicking, but instead mirrored Todoroki. The two small demons looked exactly like the cleaner back at the apartment. "Little fucking shits." Bakugo grumbled under his breath, gaining Deku's attention. "Where are they taking us?" Deku asked. Todoroki was the first to answer, "to Satan," he looked back at Deku. "They're sending us to the big guy because what ever the hell just happened, no one has ever done before." Bakugo added. Deku wanted to say more but decided against it.
The first day of school is always terrifying but with demons roaming the halls it's life or death.
