Chapter 3: The Escape

It's Saturday and I'm a High school graduate. Yay ! Last night was the worst, Nick was all over that skank Kimber and didnt even act like he cared abot the pain it was causing me, but that is the past now. I got home and packed my things and now I'm ready to leave this place. I hate that I have to leave my dad but I cant live like this. Last night, while I was packing, I felt was it is like when your mate cheats on you and I want to get as far away from him as possible!!  Kimber can have Nick for all I care anymore. I told Lacie about everything that happened and she's going to take me to the end of Midnight territory today then Im going to be on my own. She said to call her if I ever need anything and she will try to help anyway she can and that I need to call her every so often to check in so she knows I'm safe. 

We are leaving at 3 pm,  so I still have 45 minuntes to wait.  So, I guess some tv watching it is huh. I flip on the tv and put it on the music channels to listen to some of the Best man I know right now,  Pitbull. Ohh, he is so fine even his bald head (lol) and his accent is to die for. I danced around my room for the next 40 minuntes then decided that I wasted enough time so I went down stairs to wait for Lacie on the porch. Sure enough she pulled up in the drive at 3 pm on the dot. She is so punctual!  I went over and threw my duffel bag in the backseat and hopped in the front seat, then she took off.  We talked, cried and sang to the radio along the way.  It took us 2 hours to get to the end of the land, because the Midnight Pack has alot of land. It is the 4th largest pack in the U.S. Well, after we got to the end of our journey together, it's time for me to say good bye to my bestfriend in the world the most important person in my life!!  I wont see her for who knows how long. I grab my bag from the back seat and look over at Lacie she is already balling her eyes out!  I walk over to her sheding a few tears of my own , pull her into a hug where more tears were shed.

 I tell her, "not to worry that I'm a big girl, I'll be okay, I will watch out for all the other territories I promise!!" 

"Yea, I know you will but what about everyone else out there.  They wont care about what happens to you !" 

"Lacie,  please dont worry so much I will call as soon as I settle down somewhere. Promise you will be the first to know okay. I love you and I don't want you worrying all the time.  Just go back home and promise not to tell anyone where I have went or why I left.  Got it ?"

"Yes, Alyssa I promise. Just please becareful." she said tearfully.

"I will Lacie, Oh and Lac , watch out for my dad,  you will be the only one he has there now and let him know that everything will work out okay. I know I shouldn't do this to him but It would be worse if I stayed and lived threw every day like last night.  And, I know he wouldn't want that for me."

"Yes ma'am , Ms mom, I sure am gonig to miss you girl."

I gave her one last hug and kiss on the cheek and shifted into my white wolf picked up my duffel bag in my mouth and off into the woods I went to find my new life and new found freedom.  The new me.

(Valentino's P.O.V.)

I walk in the house from along day of training with the pack fighters. Hoping to spend some Q.T. with my baby girl since I had to miss her graduation. Alpha Rick doesn't want any weak fighters so I have to train them every day rain or shine sleet or snow. You know hell or high water.  I have to be there instead of raising my daughter!!!

"Alyssa." "Alyssa"

Where is this girl at ?

"Alyssa Marie Rodroguez,  come here down here right now dont make me come up. That's an order!"

Nothing still, I know she should be home she didnt call me and tell me that she had plans after the graduation. I check the clock and it's six o'clock. Where could she be? I checked outside now Im going to her room, maybe she left a note. I walk in and everything all neat and clean, her phone is on the dresser, so I start looking around and notice that a duffel bag and some of her clothes are missing, I go into the bathroom and see her toothbrush and personal things are gone to. I head down stairs to get my cell phone to call the only person I can think of that would know where she is Lacie!!  I grab it off the cabinet and look for Lacie's number, I dial it and wait for her to answer ...

"Hello" Lacie says 

"Hello,  Lacie this is Val,  Alyssa dad, is she there with you?" I ask.

" No sir,  I haven't seen her since the graduation " she replied.

"Well shes not home and some of her things are missing, do you know where she might have gone?"

"No sir, she never said anything to me today,  maybe she just went to the gym or for a run."

"Okay, well I'm going to look for her,  let me know if you hear from her or see her.  And tell her not to leave if she goes there, I'm kind of getting worried."

"Yes sir, will do "

(lacie's P.O.V.)

Oh man how am I ever going to pull this off.  I hate lying to Val he is like a second dad to me and he might kill me if he finds out Im the one that took his daughter and let her leave the territory. But I have a bestfriend code to uphold and I promised her but I kind of wish she would just come back. I know what happened between her and Nick but maybe we could fix it or make it better. I hope I can keep this up .

(Valentino's P.O.V.)

It's 5:30 am and I waited up all night for Alyssa to come home I even slept in the livingroom on the couch and them things really are just for looks cause they aren't worth a damn to sleep on.  She will be grounded for a month, just for having me sleep on that thing and suffer. If she is not home when I get home from training this evening then I am going to call Luca and have him come home so we can start searching for her. Either she ran away or something has happened to her. I hope the Rouges haven't gotten on the land and took her. I've always told her to stay away from people that arent from the pack. What if she was on her way to the gym or on a run and they just grabbed her.  I will find out either way!!  I have to she's my baby girl and I cant let anything harm her.  I need to know she's safe and if she ran away I want to know why!!  There would have to be a very good reason for her to leave her family. I will kill someone if they harm one hair on my baby's head.

(Lacie's P.O.V.)

I get up and check my phone still no call from Alyssa I hope she is okay still. I wonder how far she has gone and if its even far enough for her to get peace and start a new life for her self. I know it's only been a night but Alyssa can run faster than anyone else in the pack. She just needs to call and check in with me soon before I start to worry like her dad is .He called again 3 times last night to see if I heard anything from her or saw her. I feel so bad because how scared and worried he is for her. Maybe I'll go by this evening when he gets home from training to check on him.

(Valentino's P.O.V.)

It's been all day and now her scent is gone from the house it's like she was never even here like she doesn't even exsist.  At training today Alpha Rick informed everyone that his son Nick has found his mate and will be taking over the pack business in 3 months after the mating and the wedding. He didn't seem to thrilled abot his sons mate but has accepted her as the new Alpha-Female anyway. She was at training today but didn't train she just sat there and watched or filed her nails. She said  "She wont need to train because she wont be fighting thats what we the fighter's are for."

( Ding , Dong)

"Alyssa is that you?  I'm coming" ... ( I called from the study ). He opened the door and frowns.

" Oh, Lacie it's just you "

"Uh.. yes sir,  just me Lacie"

"Have you heard anything from Alyssa "

"No sir, I was comming to ask you and see how your day was."

"Oh sweettie I'm okay myself, I just wish I knew the same about my little girl . You can come in I'm just about to call Luca to have him come home to help find her."
