Chapter 9*

Alex blinked a few times, her body wouldn't move. She wanted to, but she was froze still. Fear overtook her.

Dereks body slid down the wall, blood streaks were left behind him.

Move

She told herself.

Move you idiot. Run.

It took a few self encouraging words before her legs correlated with her brain. She ran over to Derek who laid unconscious on the ground.

"Oh god" her voice quivered. Tears threatening her eyes.

Alex exhaled a shaky breath, taking in a new one "Okay. I'm gonna try derek, I'm gonna really try"

Alex took a strong hold of his limp hand, she closed her eyes and awaited the pain ahead.

Alex could feel the the claws are the tore through Dereks skin, for seconds she could she feel it in her own; causing her to want to let go. 

Alex could taste the warm metallic blood that oozed from his mouth. She felt almost winded upon the impact of Dereks body.

A low growl filled the air, Alex opened her eyes. Dropping Dereks hand; the pain left her body almost immediately.

Alex, with caution - turned her head. Her eyes laid upon the beast that had injured Derek.

Alex fell against the fall, she closed her eyes taking in quiet breaths. Holding back the small whimpers.

The growls grew louder as the beast moved closer, seconds of quiet passed and Alex opened her eyes.

Her breath grew short, her eyes stared at those of the monster she faced.

It's eyes were luminous, they glowed like the blood of it's victims, barely blinking... just as it did in the pictures.

It snarled quietly, Alex could feel the warmth; she could almost the smell the old blood in his gums.

This was no beast. This was the alpha.

Alex whimpered quietly "please.. please don't kill me"

It's head leaned close to Alex's shoulder, she held a stiff frame, barely breathing. Not making a sound. Alex could feel the air blow from its nostrils as it sniffed her, within seconds it eyes shot back hers. A tear slipped from her eye, Alex barely moved.

It backed away slowly and Alex watched as it ran from her

"oh god" she cried out, quietly.

She picked up her phone, noticing her hands shaking.

Stiles.

Stiles ~
Run to the school. Now!

Alex stood up, she grabbed her bag and took off as quick as she could, at least the running paid off for something.

The door swung open, Alex ran in. She practically fell in the door.

Scott and stiles came behind her and pulled her towards an empty class room.

Alex leaned against a wall, exhaling staggered breaths. Keeping her eyes closed tight.

Alex felt a soft hand on her arm, she opened her eyes and faced stiles, his face covered with concern.

"Are you-.." stiles grunted, Alex's arms wrapped around him.

Alex shook her head, stiles rubbed her back. Holding her head with his other hand "okay, you're okay"
